the argument/idea to make sbk around the good selling 1000cc naked bikes is good though,would take care of a lot of the current problems and 170kg/180hp nakeds would be great fun to ride and watch.
lot of riders that don't ride superbikes/supersports still watch sbk, so it would only make sense to use the series to promote their most desired big bikes.
with the declining interest in big sportsbikes it would be sensible for the manufacturers to promote a bike like the new r1 only in motogp. the current production sbks look more and more like the gp bikes anyway (which i like, love the rsv4)
