Dont count out Rossi says Pedro

I'll say it again and stick by my guns. DUCATI WILL NOT PODIUM IN 2011

And yes, that IS done by using the back brake
<

No brake ......... coming down the hill from the back of my place, kinda like a private mini Pikes Peak
<
. 5 tight hairpins in 6 legs.

I don't think its possible to corner with the brake anyway

Not real sure I'm a kart fan either now. After I had that go we got back on the bikes and followed mate down the common ( yes there is one in Aust. ) on our way to the pub/inn. Its a pretty rough road in places and the guy on the kart hasn't made it past half way yet
<
( about 6km ) This time he hit so many potholes the rear wheel lost two bolts and was just about to come off. Funny to watch it going flat out on a dirt road though ........ after about 1/2km it gets past just being snails pace funny though .... and you can see why karts aren't great commuter vehicles
<
<
<
( normally son and I take much of it at 120+km/h both on KTM 520&525s and even they are a bit under geared for that road.)

You are aware that a Ducati has been the winningest bike in the 800 era?

and that anybody can get on it and therefore win.

and that t has the most electronics and TC ( actually ... stow that one I think it does now that Rossi has gone there ....... they have added mamoth amounts of software intrusion and dev. compared to what Stoner obviously rode with )

Historical performance is not an indicator of future performance. I'm not sure that Ducati will miss out on podiums, but I am quite convinced that Ducati will have a dismal season this year. Imo, Rossi will be winless. I voted as such in the poll before we saw how slow he was on the GP11.

You ......, you're trying to compare driving a kart with studded tyres on a dirt track to a track kart on tarmac? Laughable.

Thank god you're off karts....we don't need the likes of you around

No studs in those tyres
<
...... just knobbies

Bit of a newb attitude you have there to the difference in surfaces though
<
ain't much difference in the general physics of it except the bumps and things happens at higher speeds on tarmac. Have you ever tried on that is setup for dirt?

Well we had the slicks on it the week before won't even make it up that hill on the dirt
<
<
<

Only difference is the slicks let go easier on wet tarmac ...... not on dry though, but was fun for an afternoon. As that thing is somewhat lower geared than in tarmac trim never really gets the speed up to get the back viably loose when dry, you can fake it but there was no real corner on tracks that would have required it.

Not off karts you ...., I get them to tune/mod work on at times
<
though I would not own a kart sized kart I did build a 3/4 sized buggy ( space framed dune buggy thing ) for the kids and do own and run that, runs rings around a kart though ( offroad ) bit tall in stance to really compare it to a kart on tarmac and its somewhat lower geared in usual trim.
