Amazing! DMG are a bunch of ....... monkeys. (No offense to real monkeys).

I love the point in favor <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>percieved to be popular with fans.
Percieved is quite an ambigous term for what is known to be a fact and that is that no
fan gives a .... about rolling starts.

Hey, at least they're asking the participants, right?
<
How much the participants' responses factor into the decision isn't really known to outsiders, unfortunately.

We are just not smart enough to know we dont like it

I'm in favor of handicap starts.
<
lets see how they sort the winners (congestion) out at the end

Wouldn't a rolling start still have the same effect as a normal start? You would still have bikes queuing, admittedly you'd get down the line faster. How would a rolling start be better? And i assume we are talking about road races?

Isn't this just the same as the safety car system in BSB?? Works just fine on restarts over here, plus there's far less red flags since they introduced it so way less time wasted.

Shhhhh

Stevo, stop telling them that BSB uses rolling restarts. They want to be pissed

Anyway, I'm surprised John is having a whine. This is a huge step forward b/c DMG are actually ASKING the people whether they want rolling starts or clutch restarts. It remains to be seen whether they will TELL people how to respond, but now that dreams of taking the sport mainstream have vanished for the time being, DMG seem content to let the remaining participants decide their own fate.

Stupid hillbilly ....-wads! They don't get it. Launching at the start from standing still
requires skill and adds a whole other dimension of drama to the race.
Pulsating ........ at DMG are thinking that the guys in Superbike are as stupid as the
inbred rustics in Nascar who can't even manage to go around in a circle without piling up on each other.

And why that is so hard to understand is beyond me. It's as much a part of road racing as dragging a knee and 150mph wheelies.
