All the US racetracks and facilities are ........... period. And don't even give me that ohhh Road America is so awesome crap. Just because it's 7 damn miles and has nice scenery doesn't make it a nice track/venue.

Would Turkey count?

And I keep saying, brink SBK to NJ Motorsports Park. It'd be worth it for the bunny hop alone:)

CV update:
The main goal would be to win the championship in 2011 on the new bike but that is not to say we would not be trying to do it next year. Kawasaki have a really good plan.

Where do you live? How many tracks have you seen here?

In addition to the world class Laguna, there are some really fantastic tracks in the US.

Maybe the new bike involves a new firing order?

That's certainly possible. The RR has a 1 2-3 4 bang, like the Virgin Yamaha in BSB.
I've heard the engine is ok though. However, it will for sure need a new chassis an swingarm.

And a new rider.... Booo Vermeulen !!

There is no chance that InFront would be able to strike a deal with Ecclestone. Turkey has no major events mainly b/c he owns the joint.

They need to have a North American leg.Three events in 1 month at Miller, Laguna, and Indy right before an extended 1 month break.

Bernie does love money though...that track is so nice, I'd love to see a race there. Bikes don't really hurt racetracks like cars do. How could he object? Plus, Turkish people are really nice and its got the hole Muslim world thing too in a great city.

Brazil is sweet as well! Lots of talent

DORNA/InFront doesn't seem to realize there aren't casual GP fans in the USA. In other countries, they either show up cause it's the biggest event of their year (Brno) or the bike racing has penetrated more of the population (Spain, Italy). They really need to step up their marketing here. Someone at Indy thought they still raced 500cc bikes! The rest didn't have a clue! We have 300mm people here. 25mm in CA alone. But only 50k show up to a MotoGP race? Poor marketing!

And WTF at having one event in the US and it not being in FL or CA. Fking stupid! We need three or 4 races with direct marketing to squid dealers. Dudes here buy Repsol Honda that have never watched a GP! Fking INSANE!

I think Laguna/Indy and Silverstone may switch due to the Isle of Man TT conflict. MCN says it's being worked on.

Or we could just save the AMA so we don't have to wait for WSBK to act like the care about the American market.

The AMA has got a lot of potential, and DMG have got a lot of money and power within the US racing business. We still need a decent idea to get the whole thing to gel.

Although Road America has, in my opinions, one of the best layouts in the country and it flows like a proper European circuit, safety measures are nowhere near necessary to host a world championship event. That's been common knowledge for the past 15 to 20 years. That being said, Miller Motorsports Park is the nicest facility in the country and a very cool circuit as well, on par with most on the MotoGP calendar.

Barber,Barber,Barber

That would be the .... having a WSBK race 250 miles from home. CART is running a race at Barber next year, i will spend my AMA money to see that.

Wow. I just found this. No idea how reliable it is, but wow.

Perhaps this is the informations that swayed CV. Good luck to them.

A surprise move for my way of thinking but one that may well have been borne from necessity or perhaps even desperation in sealing something for his future, and all that does not take into accounts the discussions surrounding Kawasaki's rumoured added involvement.

I have spoken with a few guys who have experience with the ZX10 on the local tracks (one of which has raced internationally) and they all say the motor is the equal of the R1 and better than most in terms of the power and delivery, but the bloody thing won't handle.

The guy with international experience actually is slower around the tighter circuits on the ZX10 than he is on his ex=WSB ZX7R but he admits that it is all front end grip and once he gets that sorted he expects to be marketly quicker on the ZX10 (Has only had the 10 for 6 months and broke his shoulder on the 7).

Will be interesting to see how CV goes but yep, surprising.

I think CV will announce tomorrow whether or not he has signed with Paul Bird. Tom What's-his-name who was guest hosting Eurosport's coverage with Toby and Jules was asked whether or not he was employed for the 2010 season.

He said that he needed to wait for tomorrow to make an announcement or to find out. I think he is involved in a big deal with Kawasaki for their WSBK team, and the announcements (team, rider) will be announced tomorrow.

i'm still not sure kwak can be front runners in 2yrs or so if he signs for 2
which is what cv was on about in his choice of teams..maybe this is his best or only offer.
