I just got back from Anaheim and saw James (Bubba) Stewart sweep the three rounds here. First time ever been done. He had a few bumps and kisses with Chad Reed, only after a miss-step on a turn after a triple and rhythm section, but was able to pull away and lap almost the entire field (even Ivan Tedesco) on the last lap. It appears now that the GOAT is retired; perhaps his only real competition will be Mr. Reed. Do you think Bubba will secure the championship in the next few rounds? Or will he break his hand somewhere and make it interesting in Vegas?

I know its early, but not much competition in his way, I predict he will win the title.

1. Stewart
2. Reed
3. Ferry

And seeing how the 125 Lites are going, it looks like it will be a good year for Kawasaki.

Looks like it's going to be a 'cakewalk' for Bubba! Like you say Jumkie, it depends on whether he can stay on board whilst going so fast!
I don't really know what I think of US supercross at the moment, it seems to be lacking something, especially now RC has retired. I'd hate it to become processional,....... like F1!!!! lol
Regardless, it must have been great to be there.

Stweart has shown more maturity this season than in any year previously, I don't see him making any major mistakes like getting injured. Add to the fact that his closest competition, Reed, is still not 100%, Bubba should walk away with the 2007 title without too huge of a fight.

gonna be a cake walk for stewart. the guy is in his own league. never seen anybody who go's through the woops like he does!

agree with everyone, if he stays healthy SX is going to be pretty boring to watch this year. Nationals I think will pretty much be the same again if he stays healthy.

Will be Bubba's year, but agree throw an injury into the mix will make it interesting.

Bubba just won the Houston round. Reed came in a very very distant third.

no surprise there... told u... a league of his own.

Just saw the houston round, stewart just absolutely killed it. Unless he breaks himself he'll win the title. Kinda boring, but still really cool to see James maturing and its always good to see the fastest supercross rider in the world doing his thing.

Yeah, it was a bit of a slaughter. But you know, Reed and Ferry are no slouches, but man, Bubba makes them look like they are on 50s. It's rather sick, the guy is fast. He was fast last year too, but I've noticed he is riding smarter. Dad must have told him, look son, you don't get points for speed, you get the points when you finish. Before, he use to fly over all the studder bumps, now he just skims them.

And what a sincere smile, you just can't help being happy for the kid.

kids got a great attitude.

Well we said it, if he stays upright, the title is his. He ate dirt twice tonight at the San Diego round. He came in fifth, Reed won. It was great for the first 5 laps, but then Bubba Stonered it. Oh well, I'm not worried, didn't look injured. The boy is still learning. Lets see how he reacts next round.
