Is anyone else out there pretty excited about the BSB series this year. I know i am. I am considering getting a weekend pass to the season opener at brands hatch gp circuit.

I have seen on MCN website that the major teams have been testing in spain the last few days, and so far Jonny Rea has been quickest, followed by his teammate and the Ducati boys. Behind that had been Byrne on the stobart honda then the two suzuki guys. I did just read however than Leon Haslams had a crash and bruised his leg pretty badly

As far as predictions go, my money is on Leon all the way. Hes the man, but those hondas will be seriously tough to beat. As for the Byrne and Walker thing, i expect wins from them, but i am not convinced they will be title challengers.

All i know is i am hugely excited

I would be if i could watch it
<

Perhaps you can keep me up to date with entertaining and informative reports as the season progresses
<

Oh no, i assumed by the flag you were local. My bad. I'll try and keep reports of what goes on coming in here for those who are interested, but i do hope someone else watches it.

+1^^^^ i get the season review every year. i'm still waiting for duke to release the 06 season on the proper format.

WOW, whats the interest like in the US, do many people care? I'm guessing you don't get any coverage regardless. I sometimes make an effort to watch the AMA races when they are on but they seem pretty boring in comparison, the tracks are less exciting and the bikes get very strung out after very little time. Not to mention the fact its a total Suzuki fest, and i prefer Honda and Yamaha to GSXR crew.

I can't wait either - the firm i work for sponsor a guy in the R6 Cup so i will be at most of the races.

I'm surprised to hear that our American friends keep one eye on the series too - good on you I say

I rekon Jonnie Reay will continue his good form from testing but I expect Walker, Kiyo & Haslam to fight it out for the championship.

It's going to be a good year.

What do you think the rookies can do?

And you left out Lavilla, is he finished in your eyes. And most implortantly, has the Ducati been left behind in the winter development. Workd Hondas afterall.

i think last year saw the Dukes at their fastest & although I'd love to see Haslam win the title - the Honda's will be quicker (I think) and i have high hopes for the Rizla boys.

Honda have a lot invested in Kiyo and i think they'll give him whatever he needs to win it

I rekon young Cal Crutchlow will be the rookie of the year.

Lavilla is a good rider and lets face it, he had an awfull lot of bad luck last year but i don't think he'll see top 3 this year (overall that is - i'm sure he'll get a few podiums on the way)

will you be at any races

well tom i can only speak for myself since all my race friends are on this forum. i agree that the bsb series is closer racing for the most part. we obviously get no coverage
<
at all here so it's season reviews. i always watch the ama series & it has been a suzukifest since 03. yamaha & kawasaki were'nt even involved. the ama was a ....... mess & they could'nt decide on rules, it was a joke. now they are getting squared away & all manufactures are involved in sbk. the racing is till good, so i'll still keep watchin cause it'll get better & the others have to catch up eventualy. plus we get tv coverage, shocking as that sounds. alot of the tracks here are well... boring but it's getting better. tracks like miller, road america, barber are becoming the norm instead of the lame infield road courses. they've just about shed off most of those.

go honda!

Well, subject to finaces of course because i am a student. I plan to go to the three bank holiday rounds. A weekend at brands GP course, Oulton Park (i've never been whats it like), and of course Cadwell.

In my view the three best circuits in our country.

Yeah i'm gonna be watching it! Personally i'd like to see Stalker become champion or at least pick up a lot of race wins because he is well overdue it (from WSK). Can't wait for it for start!

Shakey all the way for me. I Hate it here when they have the Bank Holiday races, i ALLWAYS have to work. Do we know if its going to be on ITV or SkySports this year? i normally go to atleast 4 rounds a year, id love tobe at every race weekend but with work, not a chance!

I'm pretty sure its ITV. They run race 1 delayed and then go straight into race 2 live. Sky may also have the coverage but i don't have the sky sports channels so i don't care.
