I know we have already talked extensively about the pros and cons of Rossi's big decision and we will wait to see if it pays off in the long run, but i want to talk more generally. Last season things looked relatively one sided because Stoner did what he did, but the next two guys in the championship were Michelin runners. The following pack were all Bridgestone men down with the exception of Hayden and Edwards.
Does anyone else think its possible that Michelin appeared to be far worse than they are because they were so extensively fitted to Hondas last year? Now that Hondas bike is faster, we see the usual few strong riders at the front (with two additional Yamahas) and then instead if the bridgestone shod remainder, the next riders along seem to be a healthy mix of Customer Hondas and the other teams. This gives the leader boards a much more Michelin look to them, but i wonder how much of it is actually about tyres. Any thoughts...................................................
