Well done to Bradley for getting a 125 Repsol Honda for this year! Come on u brits!!

Will be keen to follow this 15 yo next season. Should be interesting, esp under the guidence of Puig.

Never heard of him. Then again I don't really pay that much attention to sub-600 racing, one of my bad habbits.
Is it his first time in 125 world championship? or was he on a diffrent team last year? Can he beat Luthi, you think?

XB is spot on Richo and to confirm it will be his first season in the championship.

He's only 15 years old as previously stated so a lot of learning in store for him.

But boy I do hope he gets up there amongst the front runners, that would be somthing heh!

That is what Dorna is hoping will happen. We see Puig work wonders with Pedrosa so they hope to have that happen with Smith also. It does not hurt that Smith is British and Dorna have been trying real had to find a British rider and to try to get a rider to represent one of their major fan countries.

Now they have one (two) in MotoGP (Ellison and maybe McWilliams if WCM gets sponsorship), a relatively famous one in 250cc in Chaz Davies and now they have Smith in the 125cc class.

Dorna only took Germans, Brits and French in the last motogp academy, they want to increase the popularity of motogp in those countries.

Funny how that sort of stuff works. I'm sure the riders they selected are very talented but I'm also sure that there were some Spanish and Italian riders that were equally deserving if not more so.

The BBC motogp team sort of followed his progress last year.

He MUST be quite talented to be in the world championship at 15. Just think if he is special enough we could have a motogp front runner in 2-3years time.

He is also one that wants to head to motogp and not WSB. Good luck to him.

Yeah, you Brits have strong roots in both motorcycling and motorsport on a whole. You deserve to have more representation in GP racing I think.
MotoGP in 2-3 years might not be possible, but it's probable. That reminds me. How did Stoner get into the premier class as quicky as he did with no championship titles? It's not fair

na, he'll still be to young. 17 or 18 yrs old. i doubt we'll ever see a kid that age in the big class. 20 seems to be the age coming from the smaller classes. rossi was 20, pedrosa, stoner. anythings possible tho.

If I recall correctly Fast Freddie was riding the 500cc when under 20y, cause he won the title at 20.
