Max has a test with midland F1 today at Silverstone. Can`t keep a good man down!!

The craziest part about it is that he has a fair chance to drive for them, in my opinion. Christijan Albers is the only locked in driver, Tiago Monteiro has not been confirmed as the second driver of the team and third driver Nicky Pastorelli doesn't have enough of his own sponsor money to get him through the season.

This whole Max not being official at Suzuki WSB yet is a bit strange. If he was to be riding for them this season I would think they would have this sort of stuff sorted out so that max can get some testing in.

Max has loads of Camel money behind him, maybe he can outbid that Pastorelli fella for Midland's 3rd seat. It would certainly be an ego boost for Max to beat out a teammate named Nicky, it's been a long time since that happened.

Don`t be so sure about the Suzuki ride.Max has now caused a major rift in the Suzuki management team ,seems the Japs are not keen for Kagayama moving to accomodate Max.

I just read an article about that Drill but Suzuki having to move Kagayama back to BSB doesn't seem to be the problem. The Alstare Corona Suzuki team is run by Franco Batta with factory help from Suzuki. The only role Suzuki plays in this is supplying bikes and parts, so if Batta can keep paying the tabs Suzuki doesn't have to move Kagayama back to BSB. This is true because Batta has decided to scrap his Supersport project and has moved Fabien Foret up to the Superbike team as a third rider.

Now, here is where it gets interesting. Corona upped their sponsorship committments to the team to accomodate Biaggi and if that's not enough, MS, former sponsor of Aprilia Racing, has also offered to put their name on Biaggi's bike. So Batta has two sponsors ready and willing to give him money to field Max Biaggi, no brainer right? A MotoGP superstar and more sponsorship money, of course. Batta put in his request to the Suzuki factory but was told it was too late to get any WSB spec machines built in time. The smart man Batta is he decided he would buy two 2006 GSXR 1000's off the showroom floor and put all the kit parts his other three factory Gixxers have on them. Simple solution, right? Yet again there is a catch. Reports have it that Suzuki has "practically" threatened importers, forbidding them to supply bikes to Batta for Max Biaggi's use. Rumor has it, and the more I think of it the more it makes sense, that there is an unspoken agreement between the Japanese manufactuerer's that Biaggi is on a "Black List." He was turned away by Kawasaki MotoGP for the same reasons, Suzuki MotoGP simply told him no, there was no way Yamaha would take him and now Suzuki is unwilling to make accomodations for someone who will surely have a major impact in the WSB Championship? In addition to all of this, suspension supplier to Corona Suzuki Showa, who is owned by Honda, have said that they will not support the team if Max Biaggi is the rider. So now, if Batta somehow gets his hands on a Suzuki without the factory knowing and buys all the factory kit parts that they aren't allowed to have then they will have to switch to Ohlins suspension on all their bikes and acquire all new data for every track.

If it comes down to it I will buy two 2006 GSXR 1000s and all the trick parts necessary and sell them to Franco Batta so Max can ride in 2006. All I ask in return is to be reembursed, given some cool team gear and get to be an honorary team member when I feel like. Is that so much to ask? It seems Max didn't make many friends in HRC.

Anyway, I think Honda's influence wont reach that far.

Max's arsewhole attitude has finally caught up with him. He must really have pissed some people off.

Wouldn't ya just love to know the real story of what went on. Must be pretty bad for all the manufactoers to stick together.

He got what he deserves

I read recently that Biaggi has book coming out this year blowing the lid of the whole Honda 'deal'. That should go down well then!

It's interesting that all the manufacturers steered well clear of this legendary brat. Even most sponsors were unsure of taking him on. Coupled with the tyre manufacturers 'at maximum rider support' ie. we don't want him as well, he must have really done something big to upset Mr Honda.

It's no wonder people are tired of him. His tempremental attitude was accepted by the paddock and press when he was lifting world titles a good few years ago, now he isn't it just isn't tollerated especially when you have younger, hungrier, cheaper talent coming through like Stoner, Perdrosa etc.

It looked all year like he was riding for the money and lets face it, he had the best seat in the house from where I was watching!

I think it's a bit far fetched that Honda has that much influence, too. But the big four have come to mutual agreements before. Either way it would look better for him if he was on a Ducati. If he's still a sponsorship choice, he's gotta still have a lot of fans, right? And I'd be willing to bet most of them are in Italy.
Will Camel still offer sposorship money now even if he's not in MotoGP?
About the Ohlins, aren't they now owned by Yamaha? (I'm telling you, the Yamaha boys want Honda racing's head on a pike) I suppose that's a pretty distant relationship to Honda though.
Maybe he should just retire and stop all these rumours and headaches

wonder what the title will be, "Its not my fault" would be quite good. Don't think I'll buy it, not really interested in Max's view of the world.

Or ".....'s guide to blaming everyone else"
They could sell it with the line "Written by an actual .....!"

Biaggi bothers me just as much as the next guy but wouldn't sport be boring without a villain? What if everyone was happy go lucky Nicky Hayden, DJ Marco Melandri, Smiles McGee (Shinya Nakano) or the legend of taking it easy Valentino Rossi? I would get bored. Biaggi is a magnified example of characters that make up MotoGP. Colin Edwards is the same way but he tones it down a notch or seven. Without guys who cause contraversy sport is boring, it's these kind of guys who make us cheer for Valentino Rossi or Marco Melandri. They make our sport more interesting and motorcycle racing without Max Biaggi will be simpler, yes, but also less entertaining.

Agreed Ooost, got to have a kicking boy, but while we got him we have to make the most of it. I must say it will be boring without Max to kick around, so I'll just keep making the most of it.

If I didn't have Max I'd have to pick on Nicky

With no Biaggi, I'd probably go at.... Tamada. I don't like that guy.

I wouldn't call what Biaggi does entertaining cotroversy. My idea of entertaining controversy is dressing a blowup doll up and riding around the track with it..... but that involved Biaggi too I guess.
Granted, we need guy like him, but I'm never gonna like them.

I never said you had to like him, I don't like him. But with guys like him gone who am I going to root against? It's too easy to root against Tamada, he finishes 10th every time. On Michelins that is.
