Me and Tom were having a discussion about this a few nights ago and obviously there were disagreements...but I'd like to see how other people think about it.

Yamaha M1 (990 (2004+))- Deep sounding burble, almost like a V8.

Honda RC211V- Search for it on youtube, it's an epic sound, and loud!
<

Honda Six- Need I say more?

MV3- Same as above.

Ducati 990 dispearing down the main straight at Catalunya in 2003 with Loris on his way to Ducatis first win, I was there and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand. Not only the noise but the speed. I've watched a few race bikes over the years but this looked like it was shot out of a gun. Unforgettable.

Was that when it still had the screamer engine? I've heard both versions and both were ace.

I don't know, didn't sound like a screamer to me but then I had a few beers on board that day
<

what i was probably watching was some guy on a C90 step through selling ice creams!

I've only heard last years bikes and I'd say without a doubt the Ducati is the best sounding with the Suzuki in second, all the others sounded strangely similar even the Honda.

when i was at the 05 Laguna Seca GP....they all gave me a bonner.

The Bologne Bullets for me

When they go past you on a fast straight, your eardrums feel like they are gonna split.

the hornyest noise i ever heard in my life was the aprilia cube ridden by laconi full blast down the straight then de- celerating for redgate, man it sounded like a thunder storm.

I don't think its really possible to explain to someone who has never attended a MotoGP race what it REALLY sounds like. I've been watching the GPs for a few years but last year at Laguna was my first real life experience. I remember watching the AMA practice wrap up, and then hearing this deafening racket coming from the pits and suddenly the first MotoGP rider came into view. Literally all the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I had no idea how EFFING LOUD they were in real life and it was definitely a thril to hear that for the first time, shoot its a thrill to hear them everytime.
<

That said though, the Ducs definitely were my favorite sounding bikes last year.

Haha, I remember the first time that happened to me, it sounded like a evil monster waking up... I'd been told they were loud, but never did I imagine they were THAT loud.

I like the sound from Elias bike as he gets a tone lock on any other bike on the track.

"Incoming! Incoming!"
