Ben Spies on Stoner

i meant watching the test the bike looked smooth so clearly he wasnt pushing it,... nothing more

Comeon Jaz, somebody even described Rossi's run as "wobbling around", it was far from smooth. And as Preziosa has said it was "bad".

I know its hard to accept, but hey look at it this way, think of how good you will fell if Rossi does get it going better by 2011.

Yeah I totally agree with your take on what Spies thinks of Stoner. Do you even read topics headings before you start typing?

Dub, it is Pinky after all and not sure whether you know or not but it is difficult to read clearly whilst you left hand is furiously changing gears on your manknob whilst surfing ladyboy sites from asia

see this is why u annoy people..... accept what ? if he was .... on the duke then he was .... and id say he was .... ...simple as that.

there is nothing to accept? yes his laptimes were crap....im just saying it didnt look like he was pushing for laptimes certainly not has hard as nicky or casey push it.

this is why i dont post much here anymore cos some of you are just batshit crazy and make out its hard to accept blah blah blah. seriously wtf

im not making excuses

In thinking about it, I'm not convinced. I'm kinda facing up to the stressed look on everyones faces at Duc. JB looks haggard, AB twitts a virtual WTF!!, Preziosi wasn't smiling all the time and in the end openly said things are bad. Even for Melandri this didn't happen. And as somebody on here has pointed out, Rossi is no "spring chicken" anymore.

Add to that a personal belief that Rossi's riding style is not ........ conducive to a non-perfect bike. This year as usual he had the absolute best machine on the grid and look what happened.

No, I'm trying to think realistically here, I think the whole Rossi to Ducati is going to be a flop, lets just hope it doesn ruin either Rossi or Ducati.

KInda bad they dropped the whole WSBK thing too over it

What a load of bollocks !

This is the bit I'm referring to.

All indications are that he was pushing it to a limit. ie. the references to "wobbling around" or Preziosi's own verdict of " its not a good test".

No he wasn't pushing it like Stoner, but I doubt Rossi could, but he was seeking a limit, in order to find problems for himself. Nobody from the paddock has said Rossi was just taking it easy, that would have been useless to test the Duc. and not find some limits. Its just that folk are a bit bummed to find the limits were so low with Rossi aboard.

You description of Rossi taking it easy and being smooth, don't accord with the descriptions of the test from media and those involved.

No you aren't making excuses because you aren't even accepting the results yet

C`mon people, get real! We`ve all known that the `2 year plan ` is the Rossi way.I doubt you`ll see anything spectacular in his first Ducati season,he`s sticking to what he and Burgess knows which is a very tried and tested formula.Of course this could go .... up in 2012 with the bigger engine.........I`m for Stoner possibly winning anyhow,he looked bloody quick in the tests and very happy/comfortable.
