I was happy enough so far with BBC coverage during race day at least, however i don't understand the decision to not show the podium when they where running via interactive because of another .... up with the terrestial coverage!

Wonder where my license fee really goes, next year looks like alot of fun

i feel motogp going to get the .... end of the stick with the beeb for the next 5 yrs compared with other sports it covers .its going to be the red button .... all the time
will races like japan australia be on tv LIVE.
we will be lucky if its live on the red button or could be a reply later in the day
cant wait to see what happens to motogp during wimbledon ping pong over a net etc
i been fined before by the beeb fook em.

I was going to check the iplayer rerun later to see the podium but if your right it should just be the same coverage

You guys shouldn't complain until you see the coverage here in the States. Commercial every 10 minutes, incompetent commentators, no pre race coverage at all, little to no post race interviews, and no race podium celebrations. All this due to time constraint, so they can show a re-run of M.A.S.H. on television or re-runs of Nascar when shown on SpeedTV cable channel.

Your best place wil be youtube, but screw the lot of'em, motogp.com is the best place to see the race. Lower quality & all!!

i have. nbc i think showing laguna. was great coverage and i thought less adds then eurosport, even had the great (overrated in toms view) schwantz. was so good infact i got it put to disc and took it home.

They are showing a re-run on bbc interactive right now, I don't know if it will have anymore coverage. Probably not but it's worth a try i think.

I will second that. It was the worst announce/covered race I have seen ever on the tube. Ralph Shaheen sounded like he was announcing ball room dancing. And Swantz has the on air personalty of a cucumber. I don't think they mentioned Spies stellar ride more then once.

They just wanted it over so they could go back to somebodies hospitality tent and veg.

I am really getting tired of the commentating by Ralph Shaheen and also Greg White. I expect Schwantz to be a bit dry as he is an ex racer, but at least he knows what is going on in front of him and commenting on the actual race. Shaheen constantly misses the important passes and on track action. I'm all for filler during obvious slow parts, but watch the damn race and comment when something happens. The Brits do a great job commentating, mostly because it appears they hire people who are race fans who follow the sport.

They rarely show the podium, they'd much rather cut to suzi perry and the other two geezers stood talking to each other trying to crack jokes. Its pretty sick to be honest. we really are losing out big style when eurosport goes.

I like that they do interviews in parc ferme (got us the handbags exchange between Rossi and Stoner post-Laguna remember?). I also recall them showing a fair bit of the podium usually, just not the riders walking up and chatting beforehand.

their pre-show is pretty good usually too, it is just the horrible race commentating that kills it.

I do agree , thats definetly a plus point... unfortunately there arent very many

Sorry if anyone has mentioned this in this thread, but has anyone signed up for the online package on motgp.com this season ?

Is it any good ? Really not sure I can do the BBC next year...

The risk out weights the reward for me...but i'm in the States.

It does seem like a big gamble especially for something so pricey.. I may have limited options though if BBC dont pull there fingers out with the coverage next year.

I got the same feeling myself...Not sure I can trust it to be worthwhile. Ya IP goes down ya fuced, anything goes .... up with ya PC and ya fued etc etc etc

Then ya gotta go downstairs and watch the beeb anyway

Did nobody see the podium? They put the 3 bikes on a lift and raised them all up so they were just below the riders, it was really impressive.
