I think the interesting speculation in that article is regarding Spies and the approaches he is getting from various teams.

Simoncelli to Yamaha - they must have a money tree and a desire to wrap up all "the winners" in one basket.

Bautista - as long as he and Marco are on the track together there will be fireworks, I would love to see him steering towards a repsol honda berth.

Simoncelli & Spies would be a bloody good match up.
Herve would definitely take a step forward with these 2.

i would be very happy with bautista at suzuki. he is a phenomenal rider and a sponsors dream to boot! i hope he is thinking baby blue for 2010.

i like to see the zook being a bit more competitive before i see bautista on it. See what this new engine is going to be like.

It'll be like every other new Suzuki engine before it Rog, good but not good enough.

Thats my fear. they must be a nice team to ride for tho when you look how loyal previous riders have been to them.

How can suzuki build such great fast road bikes but get it so wrong in mortogp.

That is the $64000 question. I'm actually surprised that they are coming with anything considering the current situation. For sure CV is not staying. Nice guy and good rider but not great results this year and always an excuse. Bautista would be fine with me just not another superbike guy.

I agree that Chris Vermeulen needs to go too..... he's getting his ... handed to him by Oldman Caparossi, not to take away anything from Loris but, usually it's the more younger and hungrier of the 2 that's supposed to lead the way.

Maybe Vermeulen can get one of the Gresini seats, would be interesting to see what he can do on a Honda.... but in all honesty, I'd rather see him go back to WSBK.

I think Suzuki would be a great fit for Bautista. Look at some of the promise Capirossi has shown this season and the new engine hasn't even debuted yet. They appear to be making some improvement and signs of returning to the form the bike showed in 2007. From what I read, Suzuki told Bautista to have an answer for them by Catalunya, I'm not sure he'll have an answer by then. I think Bautista's future hinges on Jorge Martinez's ability to secure a Yamaha for 2010. If he can get himself a Yamaha, that's where Bautista will go. If he can't, Bautista will look at alternative options, the best of which is likely Rizla Suzuki.

As an Aussie it saddens me greatly to see Bautista linked to CV's seat but at the same time it is not a surprise as results speak and CV (nor Suzuki in reality) are achieveing great results.

As for whether the Suzuki seat is the best for Bautiista I would tend to think that it could well be better than many others as with it comes little initial expectation because Suzuki have been undercahieveing for sometime.

This should mean that Bautista will get some 'slack' in terms of results and achievements as people will expect no better than midpack and he will therefore be measured against that aspect. If he achieves a number of top six results then he will open the eyes of rival teams with perhaps better machinery and will be in demand, should he achieve the expected results he will still be opening eyes and if he achieves poorer results then I suspect slack will be allowed.

Were he to go to Yamaha I would suspect that high results would be immediately expected much as with Honda so to me Suzuki is a good option.

As for the others mentioned I expect Spies at Tech3 based upon his Yamaha connection and can see Toseland on the outer unless there is major improvement over the remainder of the season.

As for Simoncelli it is a tough call as he either has to go to Suzuki or Hayate for a full factory ride or one of the satellite teams due to the rookie rule and I am not sure about his ego and how that would be handled. Time will tell

Hey Guys,
Back after a long hiatus... don't ask..
Anyways.. I like the shake up if the 2010 silly season holds true. CV, Toseland and Possibly CEII gone.

Personally I think Simoncelli will go to Tech 3 due to the Rossi connection. I would love it if Jorge and Andrea were on the same team. Talk about fireworks. That would be like Rossi and Biaggi on the same team/bike.

Not going to happen

Anyways it is all speculation and nothing is firm at this point.
The one thing that is for sure is that no one has their hands firmly on the title this year. The championship may come down to a Hayden year-meaning who ever keeps the bike upright and scores in every round... Throw a blanket over Rossi, Jorge and Casey..

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>"But Spies has been approached by Suzuki to join their MotoGP team"

Haha, very funny. How does crow taste? Why do they get a pass on this stupid rookie rule? They should field a satellite team like everybody else.

My question is what will happen with the seat Sete is on? Also, will Melandri stay with Dornaski?

There is no way Simon is going to WSBK, why would he want Spies schooling him every weekend? I think Tech 3 will attract Simon.

Possibly 6 GPs between the Spanish/Italians...and the steady stream of influx of Spanish/Italian riders continues. .... they must hate it when an American or an Oz wins the title.

Take it by simon you mean simoncelli not julian simon ?

It sounds very likely that Martinez will get his wish this year with at least a 1 bike team, that is if Yamaha are going to give him the bike. He was willing to go to Kawasaki for a bike so we know he is serious. So at this point, I would say there is a good chance Bautista will be riding a Yammie.

If Tech3 drop Toesland which Brit will take his place in MotoGP? Sykes, Haslam, perhaps Leon Camier?

Simoncelli I would imagine is going to want a ride in MotoGP no matter what or will remain in the new Moto2 class as a 2nd choice, doubtful Aprilia can attract him to ride in WSBK. If one of the better teams doesn't pick him up, I'm certain the Italian backed Gresini team will take him and dump de Angelis.

Yeah... can't be calling Simoncelli just Simon anymore. Cuz there is this other rider named Julian Simon who i think is a damn good rider who can probably outride Simoncelli, but of course he has to prove himself in the 125cc first. But as I've said before, Julain Simon is a future MotoGP rider, he certainly has shown he's capable of riding.
