I will be there only for the race day (at this moment i have only ticket and plan for the race day) On the world tribun

why?

Im there thursday friday and saturday, sitting at the stekkenwal. the thing with meet ups is that its kinda hard to organize since everyone has already booked tickets around the track. some people will have to walk a bit to the meet up spot. Im already with a big group of people so Im not that mobile to walk around on raceday with the group
<
but Im open for suggestions ofcourse.

like we could do a meet up friday evening at cosy corner, or somewhere else in the city?

my friends do too, Ive my dads friends to hang out with and I dunno if I should be so happy with that
<
but sisters are going too so it will be fun

Im not on the rossi stand, my cousin was on it last year and told us not to order tickets. when the race starts they ask you to keep up 46-rossi sings above your head everytime he comes by. I like rossi, but I do want to see the race

I understand what you mean, i,m his fan but still i wont be happy to concentrate on taking his 46 board above my head every lap after lap.

I asked it, because i thought his tribune is on or near Stekkenwal tribune

I hope you will enjoy the weekend.

yeah hope you will have a good time too. lets also hope for a GOOD motogp race

Thanks for the replies,

i know how hard meert ups are - was at donny last year and sat about two seats behind chopperman and didnt even see him. The guys i am going with are Rossi fans and thats also the reason i didnt book that grandstand - been caught out like that before. As you can see form my avatar i am a huge duc fan - sat in the ducati grandstands in valencia and had to do the same when stoner kept going by - almost missed most of the race

driving up from Jersey on Wed after spending a night on route at Bruge - staying at a campsite called mini gouberville and managed to get G/stand at Wintedjik. hope its a good weekend.

once again thanks

Marijke - is the street party in Assen on Friday - is it walkable from the campsites ?

well if you like a good long walk it is walkable, but I would recommend going by bus
<
haha! it does depend on which campsite you've choosen too, obviously

if you go to the owner of the camping and ask where the nearest buststop is to go to the center he will tell you the directions. it cant be far from the campsite since this is holland, everything is close by and well organized
<
iirc you can get a ticket for like 5,- to go to the city AND return to your campsite at night

dont fancy walking too far thats for sure - will get the bus - thanks for the insight

how was your TT chanchan??

Hi Marijke

For my first time it was awesome.

Weather was great, campsite was great, seeing all the bikes leave the track down the thin narrow lane was awesome. Sat on GT corner for race day, but got some shade on fp1, and quals in main g/stand. Needed it.

The dutch have got it all sorted. Unlike Valencia you have the freedom to move around prior to race day. It was cool seeing ago on rossis bike and i have to say the dutch people are very polite and extremely helpful. Wish i would have took my bicycle though. Assen on fri night was really good but a little crowded. Bus service straight from campsite to town every 15 min.

Thanks for all you info prior to going, it helped. Got some pics and will try and post as soon as poss

reccomend it to anyone.
