They are talking about adding another race to the calender next season to make it 18 races.

Alot of the riders have said it is to much, because of many reasons, not enough time to recover after an injury, the logistics is a nightmare etc. Recently we had five races over six weekends.

I guess when it comes down to it, there are sponses to please and that means more exposure by adding more races. It definately would please most fans.

But what do you all think? Do you want to see more or less? Would you be happy with a different format, e.g. like in superbikes, 2 races per track but less tracks during the season?

I think I agree with the riders. it would definitely be too hard on them and we'd get to see less competitive races with -eventually- less riders, in case someone gets hurt.

I'm not too familiar with superbike -sorry- so I can't really answer the last question!:p

i'd like more races but if the riders are complaining about recovery time why no spread them out more instead of having so many together like we just have and then a big wait for brno?

I would be for adding more rounds but extending the season..The could just have the final few races in the warmer climates...

No!

The more races the better, I'd like to have one race every 2 weeks all year long!!!

As a racer, i'd love to race more races. you would not be a very passionate rider if you would like to race less. all Moto GP teams have the same problem i have had, and that is that they don't have a never ending pocket full of money. That is why the want less races. If you want more races, make the racing more affordable.

They spend the money anyways in boring tests! Simply don't do that many tests and do more races!!!

Yeah, but you have to think about the conditiions of the riders... 18 races a year has to take it out of them. I think 17 is the right amount, anything more is dangerous for the riders IMO.

I'd like to see an 18th round added, but they should spread the races a little more evenly throughout the year

I say keep the racing as it is now (1 race a weekend). I also think they should have 2 races a month so then it gives riders a 2 week break before the next one and have a 2 week summer break but I dont know when the season would start or end if they did it that way

Yep - definatley just one race per weekend - that works well.

I think the season is long enough as it is, although I think they should consider moving the bit where there are 5 races over 6 weekends and space them out better............like now we have a 4 week break, which shuld be filled with a race really.

Plus having a long break over the winter is good (although its hard without the fix!), its better anticpition!

Plus if they had 2 races a weekend like WSB where would 125's and 250's fit in?

I think it's just too much.

It must be a lot to cope with for them, jus twinning a race, going home for 2 days max. and then flying off to another country for the next race weekend. I'd rather see a race deducted from next season than added.

I second that, see these guys are getting paid top dollar for what they do and the survival of the championship is more important that any one rider. If another round brings in a few more bucks for Dorna and helps to up the profile of the sport, thats a good thing. I'm sure that most of the riders will factor that into their pay negotiations anyway and it will help teams demand a little bit more from sponsors for the extra exposure they'll get.

I dig that too

But they need to test for the next season thats why they test in winter

The season ends in November and doesn't come back until April, that's about 4/5 Months of NOTHING, it's too much time without bikes.

They should have 1 month of holidays between December and January, one month for testing February and get racing the first week of March and keep going until December, with a 3 week pause in August. And that's more than enough resting!!!

Give the US at least one more race!! Miller is very nice and it's just a 8hr drive for me
