What is it with these silly looking small tails these days? It looks like a stinger on a wasp or hornet, I don't think it has any stylistic value whatsoever.

But, I still love this bike otherwise.....dang, I wish I could afford a V4...
 
Are the 'cut off' tails an indication that the manufacturers know there is no reason to make a hump (hayabusa or RS250) style any more because they know that flow seperation occurs over the rider and anything they do back there will have no effect on pressure recovery at all? Then they just go for the smallest lightest tail they can get away with (can still suport a pillion, midflaps, lights, etc).

The three headlights in the front look really stupid. I think they also did that so they don't look like they copied Ducati. They keep saying in the literature that it has that unmistakable Aprilia front end look. Funny I have never seen an Aprilia look like that before.
