GET..........the .............OUTA here.....
I'm catching the 125cc GP "Q" live feed from the GP site.....rider started to lose it.....highsided......
and BAM!!! AIRBAG!!! :eek
WTF?!
I cant be certain...but i'd swear it came from the back hump and top shoulders all in one instant...neck brace, shoulders, the whole ....!
best way i could describe it.......like football players shoulder pads with neck brace..... of air of course.....
freaked me the .... out........

i was very surprised to see that! great idea! the only thing i can see wrong with it, in a racing sense, is that if the rider has a minor fall like the 1 we saw today, was able to pick his bike up & continue to race, that big bag around his neck would be a ..... to race with! probably have to figure a way to make the deploying mechanism less sensitive wothout decreasing it's efectiveness. will be great for all us street riders tho!

I definite want one in my leathers (and not on the bike as some manufacturers are proposing) it wouldl give that extra bit of comfort to push into corners that much harder and faster...not to mention give the security from the ..... driver out there!

yes rog...its so unfortunate that it had to come in 2007 when this sort of technology could have saved such an exceptional champion like wayne rayney!!! what a pity that it had to come now!!!

but i would rather the safety technology be put into the riders equipment than mute the bikes.

yes mate fully agree with you!!! but its amasing what a few uears can bring!!! its so unfortunate that it couldent happen earlier!!! as i think that the collar bags will be a standard in bike racing of the future!!! an i wouldent be surprised if they will cover the whole leathers in the future!!! only time will tell???

i dont see a problem at all with it then
they said he took years to right the software so it can detect all different manor of crashes, i think we all got a glimpse of the future today, for a second there i thought i was seeing things.
