Look behind you....
On the 25th of November, one year will have passed since the passing away of Richard Burns. It was and still is a great loss to the World Rally Championship, he was diagnosed with a brain tumour after passing out on a road section between stages on the Rally of Britain, and after a long fight with it, he died four years to the day after taking his World Championship win.

RIP Richard, you were one of the WRC greats.

Man that year has gone quickly, but WRC will never be the same without him. He was a likeable guy and I can't understand if someone hated him, and a truly great world rally champion!

RIP

Wow, remember the thread amazing how quickly a year flies by nowadays.

IR will there be some sort of memorial service held do you think?

Bloody hell, is that a year already?

Well, its true to say we lost one of the worlds greatest sportman in Richard Burns. It's a shame that most of the world didn't seem to realise this at the time.. it really is a shame.. but those of us who saw him in action will say he was a very talented driver.. and off it a very geniune and likeable bloke

RIP Richard

Dazza, I'm sure there will be, although I have no idea where or when. Maybe check the WRC website.

a lot has gone on with me this past year. Richard's passing seems like ages ago.
He was a great driver and from what I hear a great guy.

RIP Burnsey..

Subaru has announced a new special edition Impreza WRX STI in memory of rally hero Richard Burns who died in November last year of cancer.

Today is the day that Burnsey died last year. RIP Richard.

Oh that is fitting to help his name live on.

Ive read that his co-driver Robert Reid has also set up a charity in memory of Richard.
