BBC replace MotoGP Series Producer for 2010

Belinda Moore replaced by Eurosport producer for next year's TV coverage

by Visordown News

THE BBC'S ON site Producer of the MotoGP programme will not be in charge at the rounds in 2010, Visordown has been told.

Belinda Moore (nee Rogerson), wife of legendary Rugby player and BBC pundit Brian, is being replaced on site for 2010 by Mark Wilkin, the man who produced the 2008 British Eurosport coverage of the British Superbike Championship and has been highly involved in this year's BBC F1 coverage.

Mrs Moore courted controversy during this year's MotoGP season when she defended the Beeb's MotoGP TV presenter, Charlie Cox, on a public internet forum. Australian Cox incensed BBC viewers after the presenter made derogatory remarks about Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo following the Japanese MotoGP race. Paddock rumour suggests Cox's actions will see him dropped from the 2010 BBC TV line-up.

A blind man could have seen that Parrish & Cocks needed dropping. It's more likely that fiasco's like the start of Laguna are the cause, or interviewing Toseland instead of showing the podium, a constant .... up for two years. Although cutting away from a 250 race to show a blank screen for 20 minutes @ Indy (?) is not the choice of the producer. So the bad craziness may yet continue.

Just show the live feed from race start until the end of the podium, that's all you really need to do. Grid walks & features & all manner of ........ like that are superfluous.

I usually watch on Eurosport so I missed that, what did he say?

I'd be surprised if Toby or Jules left Eurosport, but Cox and Parrish need replacing with someone. Don't know what he's doing now, but Keith Huewen was pretty good when he did the commentary with Jules, maybe they could try and get him.

What did Charlie Cox said about Lorenzo after the Japanese MotoGP race?

I dont remember it, and i couldn't find it. Did he say something that bad?

its something around this..

.... OOPS "COX"
the trouble with Lorenzo winning is that we are going to be victim to a lap of self brandishment ....... that will reach nauseating proportions "

Remember when he used to win in 250's he used to plant a Lorenzoland flag

" PARISH Replies "I think you'll find he'll do it here "COX " Oh go get real ...jeez"
when Lorenzo plants his flag said in a condescending voice " there we go ... hallelujah ...it's a shame it's not raining then he could show us how he walks on water"
sniggering when the bike won't start up then whilst being push home "come on Jorge, you stupid boy , bring it back"

Especially since what he said was true!

Oh, yes i remember that part of "it's a shame it's not raining", but i didn't get what he said after that, anyway that's not so much offending.

I find him ok for Motogp and he seems fare towards the other riders, but he dosn't like Lorenzo at all. Once also he said about Lorenzo and his wining act, a smal step for mankind and a Giant leap for Lorenzo (or like that).

with the Eurosport team we can laugh more, but i,ll miss Suzy.
