King of the Baggers Race 2

King of the Baggers is growing on me šŸ˜ They are 600lb motorcycles that turn lap times similar to Supersport bikes. Speaking of Superbike, PJ Jacobsen and Mat Scholtz are continuing their back and forth. One of the best classes in MotoAmerica, but the races won't be available until after the seaason.

Herfoss is still racing in ASBK for Ducati. Not sure how that works. I guess the North/South hemisphere seasonal difference mean that there is no overlap between the series' calendars.

King of the Baggers is supposedly a good payday if you can get wins, podiums and or championships. Several riders in the MotoAmerica paddock use KOB to keep the lights on, including Bobby Fong who is currently leading the SBK championship. Troy filled in for Cam Beaubier at Brainerd on a BMW. Not sure how that played with Ducati Australia, but they apparently let him do it. Troy didn't factor, but according to the MA commentary, ASBK does not use WSBK electronics (might explain all of the Yamahas and Ducatis in ASBK) so Troy was learning all of that at Brainerd.

I could be wrong about this, but Honda are throwing big contingency money at the paddock for the MotoAmerica Stock 1000 class, and I wonder if they are planning to field a Superbike team that includes Herfoss. Troy might be using KOB just to learn the tracks are earn some extra cash.
