"British Eurosport will broadcast the 2010 MotoGP Championship under the same terms as this year"

The MotoGP World Championship will continue to be broadcast on British Eurosport in 2010 - but, once again, there will be no live coverage of MotoGP races.

MotoGP commercial rights-holder Dorna Sports had announced that grand prix motorcycle racing would no longer be available on Eurosport for 2009, due to a change in strategy aimed at focussing on free-to-air coverage.

For the UK, this meant that the BBC would have exclusive coverage of MotoGP - a move that infuriated many fans, angry at the loss of extensive live coverage and the absence of the popular British Eurosport commentary team of Toby Moody, Julian Ryder and Randy Mamola.

In the end a compromise was reached for 2009, with the BBC and Eurosport once again both broadcasting MotoGP - but with the MotoGP race only shown live on the BBC. That format will now continue in 2010.

“British Eurosport will broadcast the 2010 MotoGP Championship under the same terms as this year i.e. live practice and qualifying sessions, live 125cc and Moto2 races and delayed coverage of the MotoGP race, 1hr after the start,” British Eurosport EPG & Listings Co-ordinator Rachael Finn told Crash.net.

With Eurosport broadcasting from trackside less often in 2009, there was no pitlane role available for Mamola, while Moody and Ryder only covered a partial season due to prior commitments.

why dorna fooked about saying Eurosport lost coverage.i dont know.
then they changed there minds and Eurosport had 2009/10 motogp coverage again.

on another note the bbc are bringing there iplayer to freesat tv in december so from next season you will be able to watch or (catchup) on there coverage when you want on your tv.
and any other bbc progs

Wish we had live coverage of MotoGP back again, but if Toby and Jules are still commentating it'll be alright. Just hope we don't get that guy that was alongside Haydon at some rounds last year.

dont complain guys!

here in germany we had eurosp. till end of 2008, then came DSF (deutsches sport fernsehen (german sports television).
the german eurosp. commentators really knew what they were talkin about, the also were using the "german" "f-word" sometimes!!! and the did really good jokes and were bullshittn around a bit from time to time.

now we have alex hofman (some may know him, he rode GP 6 years) who is really good but the rest of comm. are really lame! they dont know ANYTHING about the sport!

Yep got to agree with that, they knew what they were talking about. I miss Randy to.

Come on Toby and Julian, I know you read the forum, pull some strings or something!

or hayden ! sorry but he bores me to death

toby and jules only with randy on track

Randy is ok.... he's not a very intellectual guy which makes his commentating funny. He's a straight shooter so sometimes we may not agree with the guy, but at least he's voicing his opinion and not trying to hide behind an image like a Valentino Rossi.

Yeah, Haydon's not ever so exciting, but unlike the other guy he seems to actually know a bit about the sport.
It might just be me, but nearly all ex-racers seem boring when they try commentating. James Whitham and Keith Huewen are both brilliant, and Neil Hodgson seems pretty good, but I can't think of any others that are any good.

Really missed him doing the pitlane stuff this year. Not heard anything of him this year, has he been commentating for American TV instead?
