So anyone catch Hangtown this past weekend? Did anyone feel weird watching the front runners in both classes scratching your head asking yourself, wtf are these guys doing up front?

Jumkie's pissed right now because of Reed, but I have to say he was the only guy riding like he was trying to win? Don't know maybe just first race jitters for some.

What about the KTM 350 pulling the holeshot and leading the whole second moto with Alessi on board.

I'll post more race insight later if I get a chance.

L8, doubt we will get much interest for MX this year. Reed is the master of riding in a depleted field, it accounts for every single one of his championship. But what can you say, if the front runners don't show up, I guess its not his fault. I'm starting to lose patience with James Stewart.

Alessi, really? So much for more is better eh. Nice win on the 350 KTM.

.... Reed!

Jumkie, your probably right won't be much interest here this year, but I'll post something anyway.

While I was watching the 450's race I kept trying to figure out what was missing, I mean there was some close racing for position but something just didn't look right and then it hit me, no one was really riding balls out! The only rider that was even close to doing so was Reed ( I know Jum's pains me to say it too) and you could see it plain as the nose on your face. Since speed didn't show the first motto, it's possible there was some balls out riding going on there and everyone was just too damn tired for the second moto...dunno? Dungey really disappointed me, he's the rider I"m hoping pulls his head out of his ... for the next race because he, Reed, and Alessi could make for some exciting racing.

Where's Bubba? WTF dude, your job is to ride dirt bikes as fast as humanly possible, not sit in front of TV cameras doing reality shows. BUBBA, GET OFF YOUR ... AND RACE THE NATIONALS!!!

Anyone catch the Freestone, Texas round?

450 Dungey back to the front. He certianly looked better and asserted his dominance in what I will say is weak 450 competition this year, but hey you have to race who is there, would have been nice to see how he would done if Villopoto and Stewart (aka reality star) would have been racing.

250 was more interesting to watch and I have to say I'm very impressed with Eli Tomac even though he wasn't able to seal the deal this weekend, I think this kid willl continue to get better. Dean Wilson in the 2nd moto, not sure what he was thinking but he certianly had a brain fart letting his team mate and Brock Tickle by at the finish line and that cost him the overall to Pourcel who looks to dominate 250 this year.

Good racing over all I think.

have enjoyede both hangtown & wortham rounds.... i always watch the outdoors! mx is where they seperate the men from the boys! villapotto is missed.... stewart is turning into a joke.... tomac just needs coditioning coach to get his strength & stamina up cause i think he could possibly be the next rc.......

the kid is stupidly fast!

Tomac may need to train in heat a litle more, not sure where he trains, but if it's in Colorado, he's getting the altitude training but not agglimating to the temp and humidity, heck his Dad knows a thing or two about cardio/biking(John Tomac). When they interviewed his Dad he was very non-chalant about his season thusfar, I don't think anyone expected him to be up front so quickly. Honestly riding in hot and humid weather sucks and I'm not sure there is much you can do other than hydrate between rounds...but you have to be careful with that as hydrating too much can also hurt your performance. I'm definitely interested to see how Tomac does from here on out. One other note, Tomac's age may play into how quickly he recovers between rounds, lets not forget this is a young buck who has never raced 30 minute rounds at the professional level before, it will take his young body time to mature to such rigourous standards. But I'm with you Frost, the kid so far has been nails.

I've actually been bummed not seeing Barcia towards the front, not sure what's going on there?

yeah it's gonna take some time for him to get conditioned for the long hot pro races. he maybe needs to back it off a bit at the begining cause he just flat wore himself out.... it'll come!

been pullin for barcia also... another really good rookie. it's his starts that are killing him i think...

what the hell is weimers problem?

I'll be honest, I had limited Tvo space and chose to record some TPBs instead of MX. Now that I hear Dungey won, I sorta wish I would have seen it. But I'm just not that amped up to watch. I defo see the next one though.

Jum's no worries. We sorta touched on that at the beginning of the thread, the excitement level this year isn't there and I think it's because at least IMO two big names are not racing. Villopoto has a good excuse as to why he's not racing, Bubba, I just don't get it? If he had commited to racing the outdoors, it would have been his title to loose, even a 75-80% Bubba cleans house outdoors.

Hey be sure to check speed listings, they may show an encore of the outdoor rounds?

My damn dvr messed up so I didn't get to see the races so I read about them. Looks like 450 is situation normal, but 250 had an interesting result. What happened to Tomac?

the 450 was on nbc & the 250 will show today on speed. barcia won race 1 but his bike broke in race 2... ashame
<
tomac???? looks like dungey has settled past his sx championship & is gonna start to run away with it this year. jumkie is gonna be upset when he see's how chad did....

Missed the Budds Creek round was on vacation, DVR missed them as well. Oh well, looks like 450 was another Dungey romp, and in 250 Dean Wilson figured out you stop racing after you take the checkered flag.

One note, I guess Tomac popped his wad alreay, not sure what's going on there? Good to see Barcia back up on the podium.

I like when Dungey wins. The kid is humble and genuinely happy when he scores the top step.

Reed, why does he still have fans?

Well I'll post about Colorado round....boring. Good to see Dungey on top in 4-fity really liking that kid. 2-fity boring...not a fan of Pourcel...sorry Frenchies!

Red Bud: Dungey 1-1 again..and God bless him, Canard with the overall in 250.
