From - Proposal to the Grand Prix Commission | MotoGP?
At the Argentina GP, when Pit Lane opened for the MotoGP race, the track was wet and slowly changing to dry conditions. Only one rider, Jack Miller, remained on the grid with the “Dry Bike” – meaning that 23 riders were on the grid...
Is there a rule that prevents two wheel drive bikes in the grid?
It would be a nice idea, just imagine the possibilities, no more wheelies on getting off the line, much better out of corner traction, much faster corner speed and different implementations would drive factories to madness LOL...
The sport revolves around Rossi.
If there is one thing we have learned about how DORNA operates in recent years, it is that 11th hour manipulation of the rolling rulebook is a handy tool to influence the sport in peculiar ways, often in a predictable theme.
After the news came out that Rossi...

must have missed this new rule change; if it starts to rain during a race, you can pit and three crew members and the rider can work on the bike to change tyres etc

Hello, my first post here. I've been utilizing PowerSlide for the knowledge of its forum members, which is nothing but fantastic. Also, some arguments that are posted here are informative and entertaining as well.
I remember the first year when 6 engine rule when in effect, commentators...
HOPES haven't been high for the new Claiming Rule Team bikes that are to be introduced next season, especially after the lukewarm and six-second slow debut of the BMW S1000RR-engined Suter in testing at Mugello.
The reason for adding the CRT bikes to the grid next year is an attempt to bolster...

Away from the racetrack, the teams and Infront have been talking about rule changes for next year, and the switch to a single bike is drawing ever closer. The single-bike format forces WSBK to drop the flag-to-flag racing concept adopted first by MotoGP...
Just now - re-watching some WSBK action and remembering something I thought of when the whole idea of CRT in
MGP was first suggested. In WSBK - where the bikes are tuned as highly as rules will allow - mechanical DNFs are
a regular feature. I can't help speculate what the rate of engine...
does any1 else think that the new white flag rule is FUBAR?its going to end up spoiling the racing because u end up with riders riding in the rain on slicks because it would waste too much time to come in for a change of bike.whats the point of trying to improve safety if u end up puting riders...
Changes looks pretty interesting,
Might have to move the finish line closer to turn 1 in Moto2.
...In 2011 the practice schedule across the first two days of each Grand Prix will be as follows:
MotoGP: 4 sessions of 60 minutes
Moto2: 4 sessions of 45 minutes

The 6 engine rule was partly discussed in the sepang thread , but I thought it would be clearer to keep discussion separate. ( And, I am aiming for the highest thread to post ratio )
Call me lazy, but i don,t know the full rules regarding the engine rule. To the back of the grid.........but...

Stoner: Engine rule will make MotoGP closer
Casey Stoner believes the new MotoGP engine-change limit will help make satellite riders more competitive in 2010.
A satellite rider hasn't won a MotoGP race since the last season of 990cc competition, in 2006. And of the 51 podium...
Ok as these are all hot topics of contention, which rule do you think is hurting the sport the most? For me, it's gotta be the lack of testing. Testing just reduces the chance of riders of figuring out the "sweet spot" set up for their bike, in turn reduces how many riders would get a chance at...
Can someone clear up what is considered a rookie in MOTOGP? Is it someone that has had a seat for a whole season? So if Takahashi somehow made it back into MGP would he still be considered a rookie?
Where I'm going with this is Ben Spies. He has taken to the track with in MOTOGP and even...
Ok perhaps I should sit and read up on every rule that is thrown at the riders etc. But please someone explain it, I've missed the first 3 races - through no fault of my own and want of trying. But football took presidance at one house and the firstrace, well, after begging and pleading with the...
GP needs to move to a single transmission rule. At the beginning of the season manufacturers should be required to declare a transmission and sprocket set. They can make as many as they need, but the gear ratios must be the same.
Think about how different the sprockets/transmissions must be...
