Alright, time for MotoGP at the Cathedral. Weather looks terrible, which might not be the best for spectating, but it could have a profound impact on the championship.
Interesting setting to begin the second half of the season.
Looking forward to Assen this weekend. Hopefully, it will provide excellent racing.
After FP2, everyone is in their normal spots in SBK. Redding has improved slightly. Baz is still the top BMW. Haslam has taken over for Cresson, and he's circulating in roughly the same spot as BSB. Not sure...
Pretty much my favorite track. Always great racing here. Since 2012 only Hondas and Yamaha have won here. Marquez is in great form and loves the circuit. So yes - he'll likely win, but there'll be good combat in his wake.
Hi
I need some help to find a specific campsite in Assen. We are a small group from Denmark (6 bikes), whom for the past 4 years now have been going to Assen for the MotoGP. We usually stay at Family Seinen at Witterhaar, but this year we would like to try a campsite just around the corner on...
Might be the first round where there appears to be no decisive winner in the works. All the major manufacturers are in the running for this one. Can Lorenzo make it three in a row or will Marquez reassert himself in the victory circle? I actually think Yamaha could make a good showing here...
Also early - but what the hell. Might as well start planning. Just booked tickets fer me and the missus. Synn let me know if yer comin'. I'll bring my boxing gloves. :p
Hi all,
I'm looking for any recommendations for the Assen gp this year, ie places to stay( cheap and cheerful) and also places to go.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Rob
Well I'm looking forward to the racing even if nobody else is!
Grid is pretty mixed up so going with ideal world scenario of JLo, Marky, Zarco.
Crashy will probably be back on gravel form now that the ink is drying on the new contract.
No idea about tyres - I never appreciated it was...
Not sure if you could hear my Tim Allen "Buzz Lightyear" voice in the title, but here we are at another Davies vs. Rea weekend, already. (This is posted after the first race.) I always liked both these guys, but having known Davies, I am partial to him being successful.
At this rate...
Superpole drama... Rae dawdles on the race line spoils Davies fast lap anger and apologies ensue... right up to grid interviews!! Hahaha!
Race 1
VDM barges between Hayden and Lowes runs off on turn 1, then crashes a couple of laps on... not the home race he hoped for.
Bradl takes...
Warrants a thread of its own purely on account of Bagnaia. Stunning race and one of the boldest and best passes I've ever seen through Geert Timmer for the win.
Its been so long it seems people have forgotten there is a race this weekend. GP scheduling is abysmal. 3 weeks since last race, 3 more weeks till the next, and a month after that to the next. Anywho, Assen. Looks like we may get our first look at Michelin wets. 80% chance of rain on Sunday. Can...
Ok , most of you would have seen highlights of the Assen GP by now so who was at fault for the clash between Rossi and Marquez?
Should Marquez have won or was it a fair result?
Here we go again!
Rossi looking on great pace....
MM still looks desperate for a result...
Dani may spoil the party....
JLo looking like he is beatable....
Should be a great one...
