I really do not know what you guys are arguing about. BSB and the Australian superbike series are both very valuable. There are great riders in each. I think some guys get to caught up with the top guys in each series. The truth is the most talented guy in the world could be ridding on his own dime in a domestic series and not doing squat because he does not have the right opportunities. Ben Spies is a good example, he is a great racer but he would still be broke and on his ... if his mother had not made the sacrifices she did to get Ben the opportunities he needed.
The argument that Bayliss did not do anything on the Camel honda is irrelevant to Bayliss today. People are not robots! People learn and adapt and riders can improve their skills everyday untill they die.
I know how cruel the world of racing can be. I have a handful of club championships but I am making my sacrifices now by quitting for 3 years to finish law school so that when I resume I can afford a competitive bike, otherwise I was just going to stay at home and continue beating the same competition year end and year out.

Actually not everyone is caught up in the "my series is better than yours" debate. And I don't see that what I'm saying or indeed what Tom is saying, is argueing.
You know me by by now, if someone makes the kind of comments that have been appearing on here about BSB, where folks make big statements that they can't back up, I, like many others, (Rog, Tom and Jumkie, Israeli Racer, Skidmark I could go on) will come in and challenge them.
Note the names above, were not some gang of bullies looking to spoil folks fun. We will have a go at each other if one of of says something that needs to be backed up. To be honest, we argue about most things! It's not childish, it's what happens. If you want to make rash statements, (and weve all done it) you expect a backlash, and for someone to challenge you.

I second that post Pete.
Some people are getting snubbed:
1. Rossi - obviously
2. Hayden - the only other man on the grid with a world title (sucks 4 the haters)
3. Stoner - probably about to be the next man in racing with a world title
4. Pedrosa - good, but he relies on his stature to win
5. Melandri - could be better than 5th, it's hard to tell
6. Capirossi - respect for riding so long and so well
7. KRJR - 2nd in '99, 1st in 2000, 6th in '06 on a sub-satellite Honda team, he doesn't always know what lap it is but he can still race (quit snubbing him)
8. Hopkins - they should call him "Hypekins" b/c he ain't produced yet but he's still better than most
9. Edwards - Old trusty if it weren't for the miscue in Oz he'd probably have the alltime consequtive point streak
10. Bayliss (he's better than Vermy, JT, Gibby, and McCoy; so I've got to put him. Plus he's an idol to the Ducatisti)

I cant blame you, look at what the Scots did to the suicide bombers i Glasgow...........
Anyways, as someone has already said, nothing against you crims, if I did, I'd never get a pint when I'm in London, or anywhere in the highlands.

Which Aussie, American, Spaniard, Italian, Frenchman, German or Japanese rider do you Brits enjoy watching at the pub? I suppose you are part of the European union ... you can claim some of the continents riders by association!
