<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Jul 15 2007, 12:25 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>There is no doubt that Bayliss rode a fantastic race, and was the man on the day. But we already knew that when everything is going his way Bayliss is amongst the fastest in the world. But thats one race in 3 years of trying and we have seen that Bayliss falls appart when the bike isn't working exactly how he wants it, he is prone to mistakes. It would be foolish to diminish such a strong performance from Troy, but it is even more foolish to ignore the three year display of him not being good enough.

I agree with you Tom to a certain extent but...when you say that “we have seen that Bayliss falls appart when the bike isn't working exactly how he wants it, he is prone to mistakes...but it is even more foolish to ignore the three year display of him not being good enough”...that’s just wrong... Tom have a look at NickH, DannyP MarcoM and all the Honda riders who’s rides have fallen apart in 2007....but TroyB was not so lucky with the Ducati & the Camel Honda...Ducati was in its motoGP infancy and the camel satellite team was just crap to put it mildly..in 2005 the camel team is exactly like the lcr & Gresini teams are in 2007 and look where there riders are!....I say no more...and then for him to come back in 2006 and win a race when Capirex couldn’t and Gibbers well it’s best not to say anything about Gibber in 2006 and for him to come back to motoGP in his break and to put that performance at Valencia is impressive by any standards!...and I’m not being biased here!

The camel team sent Alex Barros to 8th in the championship with 147 points and two podiums (including a win) on the same bike. So troy has no excuses. Plus if you want to factor in circumstances, equipment and "luck" it is only to do the same for Bayliss' Valencia win. He has the best bike, the best tyres, the best circumstances and the most "luck". So if you are being consistent with your standards you will find the result is the same conclusion.

Watch your ....... mouth.

I find it laughable you call our series shity because our riders don't always make it into gp.

Then why is it ALL of the Aussie riders come over to our series then? Yeah, you can shut the .... up now, your riders know this is the only place to prove themselves.

No need for such hostility is there, play nice!

But i agree, The motogp world championship leader is a product of British racing so out series can't be that bad!! I'm not bothered by anti BSB comments because i've watched and compared it to other significant superbike series' (WSBK & AMA) and i am confident i know whats what.

Thank you Thomas for the Stoner backup.

It's just these convicts playing the jealousy game because they lack a SBK series of any calibre.

The Ducati’s were not the best bikes in 2006!...come on the Hondas were by a mile!...Yes Barros did have 147 and Bayliss 54...Bayliss just gave up as the team was favouring Barros and what after all the crashes and the disappointments he just gave up! Just like Casey on the LCR...and Troy didn’t complain he took it on the chin and went somewhere else, that’s the sort of bloke that he is...

Luck has nothing to do with what Troy did at Valencia it was pure class and skill like he is showing in WSBK when he’s on a good unit which the Camel Honda wasn’t irrespective of what you say about Barros! Plus Barros had much more experience on the Honda riding for the Repsol Honda Team in 2004 and in the top class. It’s like comparing CapireX with Edwards being on the same team today...who’s got more experience who’s had more podiums and race wins...of course CapireX.

1. On the day, the Ducati/Bridgestone combo was obviously superior!

2. What a load of rubbish, giving up is not a credible way to deal with his own poor performances.

3. By "took it on the chin and went somewhere else" you mean, got rejected back to to world superbikes where he belongs.

And Barros may be highly experienced but he isn't setting the world on fire these days, and the eperience differnce certainly doesn't account for the points gap of almost 100 points, Troy underperformed

phleg...

Our SBK series is going quite well with some very exceptional riders who have gone to your shores and have always shown you poms up!!!....lol...it’s happening while I speak...lol...and will always happen!!! And us convicts unfortunately are not as close in distance to the centre of the motor racing world that you poms are but putting it more bluntly...how many world champions has the UK had in the premier class in the last???...what...37 years???...oh it was Barry Sheen who was the last, and even he evicted and became a convict.....lol

Oh, if your SBK series is great, why don't riders from there jump right up to GP?

Hmm, maybe because none are good enough? You feel you have to come over here to get noticed? What a great series you have!

Not good enough???..You Have to be Kidding Me...if it wasn’t for us aussies you poms would have no credibility in any m/cycle racing... phlegm...the aussies have given the Brits any sort of recognition and better still if it wasn’t for us I don’t think there would be a British gp....lol... its just an unfortunate transition that all of us have to make, ...don’t ask me why?...what coming from our great weather shores...you know...Beautiful One Day Perfect The Next....to your miserable...rain...floods...cold etc etc...we must be mad!...lol

Go on, elaborate (it means go deeper into the topic and exlpain

) Why wouldn't we have a GP if it wasn't for you 'Aussies'?

If it wasn't for us Brits, there would be no Moto gp, we INVENTED motorcycle racing, they don't call Blighty the 'Birthplace of motorsport' for no reason.

You say we've had no champ since Sheene, fair enough. But we've had LOTS of 'good' riders as opposed to a morsel of greats. Gardner was a 1x champ, nothing special, Doohan was Doohan... Stoner isn't champ yet but you're hailing him as if he is.

And if we're being petty as to say 'Well you haven't had a Moto gp champ for 30 years.' I'll gladly say that

Well you haven't had an F1 champ for 27 years! So it balances out for our lack of GP! P

wow phleg thanks for explaining that for me...so that is what "elaborate"...

Only joking man! You don’t have much of a sense of humour

So do the aussies just wait and see when they will land onto your shores...lol

Now don’t f...k with our heritage and legends phleg...this is completely below the belt...and I remind you that Mr. Gardner was a real champ!!! Ok 1X but he use to drink plenty of 4X..and Mr Doohan well his our legend!!!

And now we come to F1??? Who, What, Where is this F1??? That is NOT RACING!!! It use to be but now its a BIGBIGBIG JOKE!!!...and if it wasn’t for the great Mr. Jones then Williams would probably still be struggling to win their first gp or wouldn’t be around mate!!!...lol
But Mr. Stoner will get there “YOU JUST READ MY LIPS”....WORLD CHAMP!!!

Really? Who gives a flying fart about F1 world champions? If your gonna start going into all the sports Australia dominates the UK in then we're gonna have a very long list! The British invented so many sports and you are precisely good at absolutely none of them!!!

The relevance was that F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport and the UK has not only the heritage but also the recent and relevant success to show that Britain is still at the forefront motorsport despite having not produced a motogp world champion for a long long time

.

1. Rossi

The rest don't really have numbers of the best. I just like them:
(In no particular order)

Pedrosa
Camier
Espargaro, Pol
Lorenzo
Lavilla
Smith
Barros
Espargaro, Aleix
Stoner
