Bayliss
Nicky H.
Vermuelen

Stauffer (Jamie)

I'm just glad to see some lists with Hayden on them, how anyone could leave him off the list is crazy.

Pleasantly surprised to see Bayliss figure in most top 10's. Nice one on Jamie Stauffer there Krusty. Would be great to see him mix it with the big boys.

How do you leave out Bayliss? He's top 5 for sure!

Edwards is better than Bayliss, so i will accept that perhaps he didn't make 10th because i prefer Kiyo but the rest are all better.

You've got to be joking! Edwards is a has been and never was! Bayliss is a true champ.

I can appreciate that it is lower level than a world championship is but its the strongest domestic series in the world, so i am grateful for that.

Well. what a knowledgeable and intelligent answer.

The forum is a richer place for your informative opinion.

1. Rossi (still the benchmark of m/cycle racing, but if he loses the WC then Stoner)
2. Stoner (he’s a racer through and through!!! One of the best I’ve seen at his age! And he’ll get better as the season progresses and I wouldn’t be surprised by mid 2008 he will be virtually unbeatable)
3. Bayliss (his record speaks for its self, aggressive, technically perfect and a great race technician)
4. Haga ( aggressive and his never say die attitude would give the boys in motoGP a run for their money)
5.Melandri
6. Capirossi
7. Pedrosa
8. Barros
9. Hayden
10. Biaggi

If the BSB is such a great domestic series why has it taken so long for a British rider to make a breakthrough into motoGP?

Technically perfect????? Please, Bayliss is known to make bikes go slower by over riding them and then have an inevitable crash, remember 2005 by any chance? That bike was capable of challenging for at least regular wins.

No it wasn’t Tom...that was a dog and it ate him for b/fast...how can you say that?...Troy was just hard done by in 2005 that’s why he left and went to SBK...

He got eaten for breakfast because he and his riding style were not cut out for grand prix racing. Had he been more adaptable or more precise perhaps he would have made a better career out of it, but unfortunately he struggled to change his ways from what he knew well (superbike racing) and that could rarely cut it

2004 Colin Edwards, Satellite Honda, 5th in the world championship with two podiums and 157 points, he got a factory ride the next season.

2005 Troy Bayliss, satellite Honda, 15th in the world championship with no podiums and 54 points, back to superbike the next season

Then what happened at Valencia 2006? He sensationally led the race from start-to-finish - responding to late pressure from Capirossi to take his first ever MotoGP victory by 1.3secs as Ducati celebrated its first ever MotoGP one-two...that’s no mean feat!!! Tom especially after the Valencia race was suppose to be the grand finale to the 2006 motoGP season!

There is no doubt that Bayliss rode a fantastic race, and was the man on the day. But we already knew that when everything is going his way Bayliss is amongst the fastest in the world. But thats one race in 3 years of trying and we have seen that Bayliss falls appart when the bike isn't working exactly how he wants it, he is prone to mistakes. It would be foolish to diminish such a strong performance from Troy, but it is even more foolish to ignore the three year display of him not being good enough.

You will have to forgive me because my list will contain no racers from BSB because I dont get any coverage so I do not know of the talent.

1. Rossi
2. Ant West
3. Bayliss
4. Stoner
5. N. Hayden
6. Hopkins
7. The Mole
8. Eric Bostrom
9. Colin Edwards
10. Fabrizio

11. In a few years the world will know a kid named Josh Herrin. The americans know him becuase he rides supersport in AMA but this kid has got loads of talent. He just needs time to develop it.

Also I know that Pedrosa needs to be put on the list, but I refuse to put that punk on any list because of his and Piug's behavior.
