I heart Hopkins
<
Suzuki hearts' Hopkins! Really wondering what/who he's going to be riding for next year, with the right outfit, I have no doubt he couldn't be pushing Hayden, and possibly becoming da doctor's.. closest competitor. We shall see soon enough

Tamada, aye, talented rider of course; but I do generally think he's out of his league.

Pedrosa, I said it last winter, probally be the next person on a premier ride. Do I think he's really ready though, not really sure.

Tamada: Awesome rider. He showed what he was capable of last year with the win and some good runs up front on the bridgestones. Unfortunately, I think his injuries got him off track this year. He'll be back up front soon, i hope!

Hopper: How could you not like hopper? great guy, great rider. Suzuki is holding him back with less than competative bikes though, imo. I hope the rumors are true and we see him on something a little better for 06 so we can see more what he is capable of. His crashing hurts me just watching!

Pedrosa: Obviously immesurable talent like Rossi was as he came up. The next Rossi, imo. He's already showing what hes got in the "minor" leagues, if you will. With his seat next to Nicky for 2006 on the repsol, he'll have a great bike to contest with and I expect no less than a top 5 championship for him, as nicky did as a rookie. He should actually do much better, being a veteran to these tracks.

Tamada: I like and I rate him hope he shows something soon

Hopper: Hampered by the bike he is on at the moment he only looks average at the moment

Pedorsa: I don't rate I think he is the next Biaggi, full of promise and never quite getting there. I think he's a 250 type guy like the bike really precise dosn't like the bike moving around, often here comentaors mention that, he also dosn't like the wet for that reason. Plus he is only a weed of a guy.

Cheers

Tamada- First thing i saw of Tamada was in 2001, Sugo, WSB. He wiped the floor with everyone and won both races by like a mile or something. Ok so at that time in WSB, the local wildcards always used to clean up at Sugo but this guy was special- he was getting so much drive out of the corners and he just looked SO at ease with his SP1. At the moment i think its not going good for him but when everything works i think he is top5 material and def the best Japan has to offer.

Hopper- How can you not like the kid? he has balls of steel, and after watching 'Faster' you realise what a talent he is. Put him on a Honda or Yamaha and watch him go. I think him and Hayden have equal talent, it just hasnt gone Johns way yet.

Pedrosa- Dont really know as i cant follow 125's and 250's. From what ive heard tho he is a star and is obviously dominating at the mo. The next Biaggi? i think hes better than that. The next Rossi? maybe. He needs to be SUPER confident with the big bikes to be anywhere near Rossi's league really. Time will tell. Good Luck Danny.

Tamada: He is talented, last year he got a win (or 2?), but in the bumpy Brazilian tarmac the Bridgestones were an advantage, so it was difficult to judge his performance.
This year he is on Michelins like the rest of Honda riders, and he is usually the worst of them along with Bayliss which is not very good, although he has been injured twice this season and that affects the rider's confidence. The jury is still out on Tamada's case, so far I would rate him as good but not brilliant.

Hopkins: We can't really judge Hopkins because he is riding a piece of junk, although if we compare him with his teammate Roberts, he is usually faster than Roberts (who has been a World Champ) so obviously he's got the pace. I think he needs to improve mentally, he rides like if there was no tomorrow, and therefore crashes often, that's why Kenny has got more points.
Currently I rate him as good with the potential to be a winner in a near future if he gets the right bike and calms down a little bit.

Pedrosa: I think Pedrosa in terms of talent is right up there with Rossi, the only problem I see is if he will be able to handle a big fat bike like the RCV, because Dani only weights 50 Kg and is very little. Pedrosa, like Rossi, was very weak in wet conditions in the 125cc, now he is getting better and I expect him to be completely adapted to wet surface in a couple of years..

It`s really difficult to add to this except I wouldn`t go as far to call the Suzy junk,it just needs a speed kick to compliment its handling ,as far as I can deduce.

I agree

Everything has really been said.
Tamada-extremely talented tho not sure why he has been absent.

Hopkins-fast and talented rider even on inferior machinery

Pedrosa-Rider stud. He will take to MotoGP very well. Possibly the next Rossi.

Just like Ron my first taste of Tamada was at Sugo in 2001 and 2002 when he dominated the proceedings. And just as Teo mentioned his win at Brazil in '04 I think can be contributed to the advantage Bridgestone runners had at that track. That aside Tamada has had some brilliant performances in Mugello and Motegi, since his switch to Michelins he has not shown me the same agressive riding I saw in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 but perhaps that's due to his lingering injuries.

Hopkins, take my comments on Hopper with a handful of salt because I am biased. I think Hopkins could potentially be a world champion. He rides like it's the end of the world because if he doesn't he will finish right alongside Kenny in 13th because the Suzuki is a piece. Put him on a Honda or Yamaha and he is instantly top 5. He is flat out fast and an all around great guy.

Pedrosa, he has immense talent and could take MotoGP by storm. He is coming into MotoGP with the most hype behind him since Rossi came up in 2000. However it has been mentioned he is very small and it appears to me he is a bit tempramental. It's just my opinion so take it or leave it, but he strikes me a bit like Biaggi as was said before. Not because of his 250 success and I am definitely not saying he is a complainer, but something about his style is leading me to believe he won't be blindingly fast unless his bike is set up just the way he likes it. Hopefully I'm wrong but I see something in his style that would be unhappy without a superb set up.

tamada...big dissapointment hopkins...needs a better machine! pedrosa...going to be interesting

i think tamada is overrated. the guy might be fast but not top 5 material.

hopkins needs a new ride. personally i feel that if he had a better machine, he would be top 5 easy.

i think pedrosa is immensly overrated. he's got all this hype behind him, but he won't live up to it. there's no way he's going to be the next rossi.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (wiredout46 @ Aug 9 2005, 03:20 PM)<div class='quotemain'>tamada, hopkins and pedrosa. what's your take on these 3?
<div align="right<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

hopper needs a competative bike...
tamada is good, but not consistant enough for a championship title
pedrosa will do alright, but nothin spectacular in his first year (i think)
