An end of an era. Its over folks. Say good bye to World Super Bikes. The "super" soon to become "junior".

As would be fitting, this man best represents the future fortunes of this soon to be extinct series.

Sykes on pole, Biaggi in 10th. Unless a miracle happens, which isnt beyond the Flaminis knowing their days are numbered, the championship should just barely go to Max. But this is racing, so it will still be a nail biter...i wonder how JRea will effect the outcome of this title.

Go Max, enjoy your last couple of races where you weren't the other Italians bobo doll

The Turkish axe murderer does it again, when is this complete piece of .... going to be punished? oh i know when he hurts some one for ever.complete disgrace.

didn't catch the wss, clip of the tur...k , highly appreciated for future reference

well that was a close one in wsbk.

was really rooting for sykes to get it (i wonder what odds you would have got before the season that sykes would win it on a kwaki),but still a very deserved championship for biaggi. well done max

rea, shades of pedrosa sachsenring 2008

so checa at althea next year with the 1199? high time they changed motorcycle, i hope hrc support will make the blade a bit better, i'd love for rea and haslam to have a realistic chance of winning the title.

great year in wsbk all in all, especially because of the new guys like gugliano and baz.

get well soon joan

Agreed, awsome days racing, unlucky for Tom and i think Baz will be a threat next year, well done Max.

its amazing when you think about it, when i started watching gps (or at least when i can remember getting into motorcycle racing) as just a little boy max was the king of the 250s (my favorite class), and still he is a world champion.

truly amazing, almost 20 years of being a world championship title contender.

say about him what you want, but i think max is not getting the credit he deserves

His debut race and season on a 500 in 1998 was something else too.

Was rooting for Tom but in the end i think its still super cool for Max.

Congrats to Max. Even though I didn't call him winning the championship at the beginning of the year, I was rooting for him all the way.

sykes can look at the season with his head held high, yes of course it must be bitter to have lost it by half a point but who would have thought he could make it,even before the last round?

who must be kicking his own ... is melandri, he should have been champ this year but threw it away.

going into the last 3 rounds with a points advantage and crashing out of 4 of the 6 races (and missing a 5th race because of the 3rd crash.)

ouch

well i hope hes okay, his last crash didn't look too good and from what i know he already has broken ribs and a bruised kidney

Max fantastic.

Now he can walk away from this before Caramel Ezy and his Italian prostitute .... it up.

Just like Stoner did, head held high!

Why do they have to ruin this series?

That was a rhetorical question and subject to many and varied opinions

Meh, I'm still in wait-and-see mode for 24 months re wsbk and mgp, no point in wrist slitting yet.

What I did see in race one was that dastardly Flamini giving Max a "bad" Pirelli to juice the show for race two...

Johnny Rea... wipes out one meter after getting up. Goof!

well, the way he rode it like an MX bike out of the gravel looked mighty cool before he lost it

heat of the moment. thou shalt not criticize st. john!i can't wait to see him whoop haslam next year so the leo boppers will admit his talent is up there with the very best riders in the world

haha, i don't think something was sketchy with biaggis tyre....but his crash in race 1 did look pretty strange.immediate front wash out, but hey its an italian bike so i guess thats normal

Sykes deserved this title, but...congrats Biaggi Oh, and btw, Sykes wife is way hotter than Melandri's GF. More camera shots of this real beauty.

Laverty, had he slowed down to let Biaggi pass he would have entered my axis of evil. As it stands, I no longer like him. Slowing down like that kills the integrity of the sport.

Davies, again riding over his head...again. Melandri affected the title by crashing out, what a complete lame. Speaking of lames, JRea, hahahaha. I .... you guys not, the Benny Hill sound track cued up in my head when he crashed then tried to get back up and fell again. This guy is a total complete joke. Geo, I would consider it an early Xmas gift if you put up a clip of him crashing then a loop of him gravel surfing falling back down to the Benny Hill song. Mix in the commentator saying "JRea did nothing wrong." And, "He had not put a foot wrong until he crashed." Hahahahahaha
