The writer makes a good point about Infront Motorsports wanting another American in the series. With some venue changes likely to occur in the US for WSBK, who better than Nicky to promote it.

I for one would LOVE to see Nicky in WSBK. I think he would be odds on favorite to win the title immediately. He was a phenom in Superbike.

Likewise. I'm not sure Nicky has ever been taken seriously in GP except by Ducati. Nick knows how to ride a twin so it would be nice to see what he can do on the new Superquadrata (or whatever it's called) when it is finally revealed.

Lots of riders need to quit wasting away in MotoGP. The 80/20 theory is being put to the test by the wide variations in performance between the bikes. In WSBK everyone has the necessary technology to build a decent bike.

WTF? In the last 7 days I've read two well written articles regarding motorcycle racing on the Speed site....What's happening? I generally regard Speed and everything it does as second or even third tier motorsports journalism. This was good stuff! Anyone know anything about the author?

I hope Nicky remains in GP for a bit longer but the author makes a compelling argument for his departure. I don't expect we'll see Capirex on a bike again once he leaves GP. I wonder how hard Ducati will push for him to make the jump in 2013? Ducati seems to inspire loyalty from most of it's long term riders and they'd probably like nothing more than to have Nicky riding their new machine at the front of a SBK race.

I say 50/50....
