Saturday's WSBK race was good. We had real racing at the front. Despite his last collision, Chaz showed again how fast he really is, and that he knows Laguna much better than these other blokes. I was surprised how few people I met this last weekend knew that Davies had raced in the United States. I was very happy that he won. He's a nice person AND normal sized.
Chaz waited for the Nicky Hayden memorial flag at turn four to do the parade lap with the flag. It was very nice of him. Unfortunately, most of the press has been about Sunday rather than the "better" Saturday.
Sunday was not good. The new "reverse start", actually only hurt Davies and did nothing, again, to stop the other fast bikes/riders from walking away from the field. The race was another Kawasaki/Rea boring event.
AMA did slightly better this weekend for excitement. Although Rodger Lee Hayden almost made it epic with a win. The good news is that the racing was real, and no one gave Rodger a win because of his brother.
EDIT: Sorry, no pics this year. I rode and I am paranoid about bringing my real gear on a motorcycle. I don't do 'phone' shots, unless there is something REALLY special.
