Superpole drama... Rae dawdles on the race line spoils Davies fast lap anger and apologies ensue... right up to grid interviews!! Hahaha!

Race 1
VDM barges between Hayden and Lowes runs off on turn 1, then crashes a couple of laps on... not the home race he hoped for.

Bradl takes advantage of VDM's antics and climbs from 16 to 9th. Finishes 6th. Well done Stephan.

Nicky goes backwards, finishes 14th.

Sykes amazing second from gurney to podium. Get well Tom.

Davies couldn't have done any better. Gutted for Chad, ...... mechanical. Drops to fourth. WTF Ducati... interested to see what the cause was.

JR didn't think you would get the job done, Chad looked indomitable. Maybe still a gift from the engine gremlins.

Marco grinds out points. Not a spectacular return, but not an embarrassing one thus far.

Race 2

Is it just me or is this reverse grid start for the second race ....... ridiculous? Why try to generate false competition? I think it caused Chaz to miss a podium.

Anyway.

Great run for Sykes again.

Rae not a dominating race, but he is racking up the championship points.

Marco - I may have spoken too soon. But both Ducs looked "off" in the second race.

Someone wave a magic wand over those Red Bull Hondas... Bradl and Nicky are riding well but going nowhere.

VDM - that's more like it! Well done!

Reverse grid is gimmicky .... that needs to .... off and die now. It doesn't really make much of a difference in the end as the factory ZX-10R's are just that much better than every other bike on the grid currently. It's sort of strange to watch their stranglehold on the series when I watched the AMA Superbikes at Road Atlanta, and there it's a showdown between the GSX-R 1000 and the R1.

Didn't see the first race, only saw part of the second. My reaction still remains the same: all those predictions of a Ducati/Davies title are not going to come to fruition unless they have a huge reversal in fortunes that I can't see happening. Sykes looks like he is having to ride harder than Rea does, and has trouble keeping up a lot of the time. Yesterday's race was the one exception to that. VDM looked good in race 2...the R1 has definitely made strides. Hayden rode well too but the Fireblade is still a joke.

No, its not just you. I have lost almost all interest in the series. Have not watched a race this year. I will check in on the app to see results but thats about it. Why do they do it?, because they have run off the real race fans with all the SuperStock bikes posing as Superbikes and need gimmicks to keep their new fans attention. F1 finally figured out that race fans dont want reversal performance, it kills damn near every series where its tried. AMA Superbike,World Superbike, Indy Car, Nascar, F1 etc have all lost huge portions of their fanbase by thinking the fan wouldnt notice if they cut performance in an attempt at sticking more money in their pockets.

JPS - Sykes has been stricken with a GI issue for about 6 weeks. He has lost 10kg. He IS having to work hard. Hopefully when he is back to 100% he will be more competitive, but he is beasting it ATM...
