<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Here's something to consider though: Rossi is now 46 points behind Hayden and there are nine rounds to go; if Rossi wins the remaining races and Hayden comes second in them, then Hayden will win the championship by one point. I don't think any rider has ever won the next nine races in a row.
By the same token, who`s ever come second in them all. Nicky is consistent, but I wouldn`t count on him making it through the year without at least 1 DNF. Rossi is still in the running, provided Hayden makes some mistakes. And guys as good and smart as Rossi can take advantage of guys like Hayden and make mistakes happen. My point is, Rossi will be back to full health soon and back at the front. Hayden has the points advantage, and that is a big advantage right now, but Rossi is still a better rider, and a master of mind games. Hayden said Rossi was toying with him at Catalunya, so if unless Hayden can get his head around the docs games, Rossi could still win this. It`s still going to be an amazing fight. And it can very easily go either way. If Hayden wants the title, he has to use everything he`s got to stay consistent, try and win a few, and keep Rossi out of his head. If Rossi wants to win he`s going to have to heal up quick, go for a swag of wins and consistently beating Hayden, and use all the tricks he learned last year bullying Sete to put Hayden in a submissive mental position so he can close that big points gap. But Rossi's mind games never work as well on riders he`s freindly with (Marco, Hayden, Sete before Qatar '04) as they do with guys he`s not too freindly with. (Biaggi, Sete after Qatar '04) Will be very intresting to see who wins out here. When everything`s factored in, it`s a very even match.
