Pretty simple really.

It seems like he gets picked on more because he happens to be the shortest rider. So just imagine for a moment, would you seriously give him so much .... if wasn't the shortest rider?

I feel that a lot of people give Pedrosa a hard time because they are arseholes. I am unbiased about him my self but think that he is an excellent rider.

OK so he will never have the on screen charisma of Rossi or Edwards for example but none of you know him and the reality is that the riders live a very different life than we do.

I don't know how to vote!? ...... I allready like the guy ..... well what I've seen of him ..... but I don't think I base that on his height ...... matter of fact I kinda admire him more cos he has the gumption to weild around that big bike. So hard to say I should vote no though shouldn't I?

Just base your vote on whether him being taller would make him more likeable to you.

I think he is ok and I wouldn't like him more if he was taller so I voted no.

He's the only rider I dislike, and his height has not a thing to do with it.

People dislike him for many reasons. His midget size is just a handy lightning rod. Further, his attitude dovetails with the stereotypical "short, pissy guy" syndrome, so he catches even more flack. Elias isn't much bigger, yet how often do people call him a 'twisted runt?' Never.

I give Peddles .... because he's an arsehole.

Full credit for his improved braking and wet weather riding. (Except when he tries to combine the two, eh?

) He's got ability and (blind) ambition.

He's also got a horrendous entitlement complex, a permanent scowl, and from all accounts is a jealous, back-biting, ungrateful ..... Now throw his Sugar Daddy and 'mentor,' Psycho Puig; when not hovering over his servant, whispering evil in his ear, Alberto is busy twisting internal HRC politics to favor DP at the expense of all else (including HRC itself). The two are inseparable. One or the other would be bad, but taken together they compound their evil to reach new heights of malignant, spiteful behavior. Both of them offend my sense of decency. "Guilty!"

One Rossi and one Edwards is enough. I wouldn't want a whole field of loud extroverts!

No one knocks Vermulen for being somewhat reserved and wooden. Of course, Vermin doesn't go around slagging his team mate. He also expresses a fairly normal range of emotions that most people can relate to. All I've ever sensed from DP is contempt and disrespect. Even a win doesn't generate detectable levels of happiness. IMO, he's nothing more than a sour little prick.

He needs to participate in musical theatre. That would make him much nicer.

Don't think the size has anything to do with it. I guess if he wasn't so good nobody would mind too much and there would be little or nothing to say about him since he doesn't talk that much.

His size has nothing to do with it, as was said earlier, it's just a handy lightning rod. He's a phenomenal rider, his style just doesn't particularly do anything for me. If it's not going sideways, it's not cool. But what would you expect from a yank?

His size pisses me off. He doesn't need to be any taller, but a bit heavier would be nice.

Motorcycling has always been about the rider. Now we have horse jockeys piloting peaky 800cc bikes with GPS engine mapping.

I understand it is normal for motorcycle racers to be significantly smaller than the average male, but the smaller they get, the more the sport loses contact with its fans.

Minimum weight requirements wouldn't significantly harm any rider and it would help eliminate a lot of injuries caused by malnutrition.

60kg minimum

If Pedrosa wants to weigh 50, he can get a ... change.

That is because Capirex is a really cool person and not a really big ........ like Pedrosa. I also think that Loris wouldn't throw his teammate under the bus when he is testing for the company like Danyell did early this year. Plus "Diminutive Dani," thinks he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I think he and Whorehay should go have a baby together and see who's ego is the biggest when the thing grows up.

How about specifying weight including the rider?

I would love to say "yes". If the manufacturers can move the ballast around to improve handling, the riders will have to starve themselves in the name of ballast.

A new problem all together.

Yeah, but that's at least somewhat mitigated by bigger riders being able to move a bit more weight around on-track.

Not quite awake anymroe so just blabbing along. They are already starving themselves.
Nicky Hayden has stated in a few interviews that he lost weight and that he is walking a tight line between staying healthy and strong and being as light as possible.
James Toseland stated the other week in his Times column that his team want him as light as possible, so he lost muscle over the winter and that he doesn't really like the way he looks now. He would like to be a bit bulkier.
And as I like my men to have muscles, stop hiring teeny jockies.

Back on topic, I voted No. I think adding 6" won't make him any more likeable. Same way I think Elias will be a .... whether he is 5 or 6 feet and Loris will still be a charming bugger

Excellent idea. I won't be satisfied until they have to lift him onto the bike with a crane.
