Congrats to the Chicago Cubs. There are only a handful of people on the planet who were alive the last time the Cubbies won it all. Great series, went the full seven then extra innings. Oh, and wtf happened to the high five

I could be wrong but isn't it something to do with it originally taking place during/at the worlds fair?

After a quick read thanks to JPS it's between New York times calling it and the original winners deciding to call themselves world champs.
In Europe women play it and it's called rounders lol.

Worst WORLD series manager to ever win a seven game series? I think so. The team got the win despite Maddon's stupidity. Tommy Lasorda, and Pat Reilly come to mind as two other managers that screwed their teams in playoffs. They both happen to be from L.A. teams. Lasorda was the opposite of Maddon, though. He left his pitchers in too long.
