As above really, or will the wee dear pull a hamstring getting into his leathers

Is he just too wee and 250ish (is there such a phrase) to wrestle a motogp mount?

I think he's toast myself but..................whatyas reckon?

he couldn't even make top three with stoner sick for god knows how many roads. He should consider Moto2

I give Pedro good odds for top 5. Before anyone gets too crazy about him not handling a big bike, lets not forget that little dude wrestled the 990 very well.

I don't like the lil guy that much either, but to say he doesn't belong in motogp is crazy. He beats most of the grid on a regular basis. He even had a few legitimate ... kickings of the rest of the field last year. I bet you dont think Elias belongs either do you? So why don't we just get rid of all the bikes and let rossi and stoner play tic tac toe on the front straight.

He's on the bubble. I said in the other thread that I think Dovi comes through this season as the stronger rider. It seems to me that Honda is listening to Dovi's feedback and the 212 is no longer a Pedrocycle. I think Pedrosa will struggle to adapt to a bike that isn't 100 percent to his liking. Not to say that his bikes in the past have been perfect for him, but Honda moved heaven and earth to accommodate him. I don't think that's the case anymore and I think Pedrosa will struggle because of it.

There will be a real scrap for positions four through seven between Dovi, Pedrosa, Spies, Edwards and Hayden. I like Dovi and Spies to round out the top five but it will be very, very close.

I will put a 100.00 on Pedro, to finish ahead of Dovi, for anyone that wants that bet!

if he stays uninjured thru the season he 'll be top 5. probably 4th if the others remain healthy.

Pedro will make the top 5 comfortably, unless Honda have engine problems.

Honda will get the chassis sorted. They were starting from scratch in Malaysia and I remember Honda musing that perhaps the 2010 RC212V should be named the RC213V b/c it was significantly different from 2009 bike and a far cry from the 2007 spring-valved RC212V.

By LeMans, I bet the Honda is developed enough to run at the front. They are using the exact same kit as everyone else--from Magnetti Marelli to Ohlins. They will adjust.

Did anybody notice he's back to his old #26?

As most of the sane world, I also don't have much love for the 1/2 man; but his riding ability has never been in question...dude is fast. I gripped through the entire Indy event thinking he was gonna be miles ahead of the pack, and he was until he crashed. Midget got back up and finished top ten, laid down some sick laps.

I would like to believe Austin is right and Honda have turned the page on him and especially ........., but I know bad hobbits are hard to drop. Honda will support Pedro as they alway do, the difference is that they will also support Dovi as they didn't do for Hayden. Why? Cuz Dovi, apart from being decent, has the clout and pressure to have Honda move to support him.

Top 5 never crossed my mind, dude is top 4, the question is, how DNFs for the top riders will effect the final points standing.

Bingo!!! This will be the deciding factor of this entire season IMO, as if it ever isn't. Rossi v Stoner and Lorenzo v Pedro will be decided by the bad races more so than the good. But I guess once again, isn't it always?

You also have to give him credit for winning the last race of 09. You know Rossi really, really, really wanted to take the top position to top of his Championship.

I'm not sure if Dovi will better Pedrosa, I just feel it is going to be close.

I'm not that confident.

It is especially so when there are four riders who can be at the same level... It has never been as true as this year, since the golden early '90s. Staying on the bike and healthy is going to be the deciding factor. And, this year I would not underestimate Honda... If the bike is top class, not only Pedro but Dovi as well can become real contenders.
