Because of fossil fuel soon will be gone in 10-30 years, MotoGP must face crucial transition from fossil fuel to Net Zero Carbon Neutral footprint combustion in order to survive.

Your opinions?

It will happen sooner then later. electric powered vehicles are rapidly surpassing those powered by internal combustion, its only a matter of time before they become superior in racing.

Because of fossil fuel soon will be gone in 10-30 years ...

It won't be gone anywhere. If western world want's to disable itself in economic race and hand over the domination to China then they can do it indeed, but as the new word power (east) will continue using fossil fuels stating fossil fuel will be gone is just one of those leftist dreams. They use environmental arguments "to save the world" while in reality they simply want to collect more in taxes and fees. This is shortsighted indeed and will put west "out of business", but what can you do. Leftists own the mainstream media and people are brainwashed, resulting in statements like the one above.

I dread that day.

The noise and even the smell is a huge part of what gives MotoGP its atmosphere...the sound of ultra exotic machinery. Ever heard a YZR-M1 exit pit lane...? THAT SOUND!! I want it played at my funeral lol.
Or the sound of an RC213V at full chat going from 6th gear to 1st in the space of a few seconds...
All the bikes sound like they're barely managing to contain 300 bhp of voilence and drama.

Electric twist and go bikes that sound like sewing machines just can't compete.
Who cares how supposedly efficient they are? (A vast amount electricity is made by burning coal remember.)
Who cares even if they can outperform an internal combustion engine?....though that seem a long way off.
I've tried watching it, and was left completely underwhelmed.

When the internal combustion engine is a museum piece MotoGP will be confined to history.

Please - lets keep this place free of politics and religion.

They said that when the 2 strokes went away, and then the performance of the 4 strokes took the sport to a whole new level. The electric prototypes might not be there yet, but they will be soon... question is which rider will be the first to beat a motogp lap record on an electric bike???

neutral carbon footprint give me a break. environmentalists have ruined everything with zero effect on so called climate change. green on the outside reds on the inside.

I say bring it on. Let electrics race with the current MotoGP bikes. If they are as fast or faster, then we will be there.

Will I miss the sound and smell of internal combustion? Yes, but I am old, and I’ll get over it. Watching competition to see who is fastest is what it’s really about. I mean I got over V8’s not being the top of the heap in power plants too.

The future does not belong to people like me.

Electrics are coming, it doesn’t matter what your political point of view is.
