The only way he loses is if RE lists Mat Mladin under 'items of contraband'.

it'll be like stewarts situation. if he is mistake free, & hes not prone to mistakes, or not knocked off by some slow dimwitted backmarker he'll do the perfection.

Even if Hodgsons was on a WSBK level Ducati, he still could not beat Mladin. The experience on the tracks, he talent, and a solid motorcycle just makes it impossible for anyone to catch him.

T. Hayden came close, and hopefully will continue to run close to Mladin the rest of the season, but I think Mat has everything going for him to win every race.

What has really surprised me this season is how mediocre B Boz and Hayes are doing on the Yamaha. I expected them to be running closer to the front, hope they can get more competitive on that team.

The season is long and i think its too early to rule out a possible race crash, an injury or illness, a mechanical problem or perhaps a technical infringement. Besides all that, hell might freeze over and someone could actually beat him.

I said no for the reasons stated above

Tommy was close on the Rovals and trhat was just because Mladin had not sat on the bike till they got to Daytona and his back was tweaked. What happened this weekend is what you can expect now that he is getting healty. He will be on a new bike in a couple of weeks at Barber so that might be someones chance that maybe Yosh ..... up [not likely] and misses some minor detail and he has a DNF. No one is going to beat him straight up but perfect is hard to do.

I said yes - the only person to beat Mladin is Mladin. Barring some unforseen circumstance, Mladin on the suzuki is a cut above the field.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Mladin said he did not want to push his luck after working a 12-second lead...

So he could have probably took it to a 20-30 second lead with ease then?

Either Mladin is just that good, or the rest of the field is just that bad.

both methinks

I was thinking about Laguna Seca and Mladin. I seriously think that he could lap the field there.

now this would be quite amusing. i'd love to see it!

If he keeps running his mouth, I have a feeling his bike will somehow fail tech inspection.
