last 2 years Aprilia, KTM and Suzuki are joined MOTOGP. But MOTOGP wants more motorcycle manufacturers to increase racing entertainment. MV Agusta last participated in MOTOGP (500cc era) was back in 1949-1976 while BMW Motorrad last participated in MOTOGP (500cc era) as a full-constructor was back in 1949-1972 and also Kawasaki last participated in MOTOGP as a full-factory team was back in late 2002 until 2008 and also privateer team in 2009 (under Hayate Racing Team operation). BMW and Kawasaki ever participated as only engine supplier was in 2012-2013 in a Claiming Rules Team class.

I doubt any of the 3 are interested in a factory team in motogp... being an engine supplier is always an option, but right now all the non factory teams are running ex-fatory team bikes.

Maybe things will change if the naked classes catch on and superbikes are eventually phased out.

I love bmw,s road bikes but I don,t see them join the motogp the want quick successes and don,t got a long vision in motorsports (bikes)

I'm sure BMW have done their homework as to why they wont enter into MotoGP with a factory ride. They have a really good sports bike, with a really good reputation. The bike doesn't exactly dominate WSBK racing like the Kawasaki's are currently but that hasn't exactly lowered anyones opinion of the bike and it can more than hold its own performance wise and with sales.

If they entered into MotoGP with a full factory bike it would cost a considerable amount of money, time and resources. .. they probably don't think there is to much to be gained from a sales perspective in outlaying the cash to go GP racing.

It would be great if BMW and Kawasaki both had factory GP teams. the more the merrier.
