<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ssiperko @ Mar 14 2007, 05:33 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Why would a World Champion need to make a visual statement such as "Numbers Don't Lie #1" for the world to see?

I'm positive this was already covered. Should I start a thread that asks about: Outrageous and Egotistical Post-race Celebrations and what this "visual statement" makes...? I'm sure your boy is at the top of the list that we could psychoanalyze to explain perhaps his insecurities that he should feel compelled to make all these crazy antics. It was already covered, your guy ran around with a sword on his bike, what silly .... is that about? Please, I regret sinking to your level when I started the other thread, as what I thought was funny at the moment, when talking about "chokes". But your boy pete, and roger, and a few others are in such lock step that I wonder if you guys are the same person (hehe, remember this one?) Ssiperko, I told you before, but I'll tell you again, you are so late on the I-can't-get-over-Hayden-beating-master-Rossi threads. Perhaps you should go back and read a few threads and have your "original" and "clever" questions answered. You will find one truth; the same old people say the same old ......... Hayden beat your boy Rossi. Its history, and all the crying won't help. Despite what happens in 07,08,09 and forever, your boy got beat in 06.

Sorry to be a cynic, but how about....just like Rossi, it's about money!

If you're a Nicky fan, go get your new t-shirt.
If you're a Valentino fan, I bet you can't wait for the new fluffy key ring!

Honestly guys, don't be fooled. You're all talking about it, you'll all be getting your wallets out one way or another. Hopefully, a few of you with me!!!

I'm not looking back to last year when Vale lost the title no need .... as I've already said, Hayden was awarded the world title for 06.

Post race celebrations last only for the moment .... of course yer boy has them so infrequently you may have missed them. I think Stoner has 1/3 as many starting his second season doesn't he? Or Pedorsa has 2/3 as many in the same amount of time.

As I've told you before .... Hayden won a title, yes, beating Rossi is another story for you to face. I faced truth and laughed at it.

SS

Hayden beat rossi, FACT.

With all the comments about Rossi crashing in the last race due to pressure you could be forgiven for thinking Rossi beat himself to lose the title (fairly, I may say).

Ah geez, and I thought we'd all grown up enough over the Winter Break to forget all this.... didn't we agree that Rossi was the more all out rider and Nicky was the more calculating rider, and that in 2006 Nicky's way won?

And for the record, he wears #1, because he's #1. And I wouldn't be surprised if "Numbers Don't Lie" is a result of all the people talking crap about how he doesn't deserve the title. I don't like Lorenzo very much, I still don't think Dovizioso deserved the title. I like Mika Kallio a lot, I still don't think he deserved the title over Tom Luthi or Alvaro Bautista.
Whoever gets the most points wins. The only time I would disagree with this is if the points were gained by cheating (I.e Schumacher against Damon Hill in '96). Hayden didn't cheat, therefore he's the champion. I really don't see what the debate is about. And no, I don't think he's good enough to repeat it, or even to finish in the top 3 this year, but that has nothing to do with last year.

Yeah I'm much more happy for Rossi to have fallen & lost, than have ridden into Hayden at Valencia.

Like Capirossi did to Tetsuya Harada when they were team mates at Aprilia in the 250 class?

That move wasn't so bad. I would hardly call it cheating.

Don't be stupid he crashed into his team mate and took the title for himself instead of beating him fairly that's why Aprilia sacked him.

It was no worse then the jerez 2005 move. Capirossi woulda made the turn if you reomoved harada from the situation, making it a legitimate passign attempt. Risky it was, but we are talking about world championships here, a rider should be willing to give and try anything he can.

I noticed you have Casey Stoner as you favorite riders, was that there before the first race of the season?

or rather, the lack of negative press is, of itself, a positive.

Welcome to the playground boys and girls.

Hayden is the champ, no matter how he got it, it's still his. Put yourselves in his shoes for a moment. You leave your home country to race in the premiere class and people think you are undeserving of a factory ride. Next when you begin you struggle and more shouts for you to be sacked cry out even louder. The European press seems to be against you for the most part, the American press does not care at all. Then shazam, you are the world champion and surely you will get the respect you feel you are due.......and nothing happens. Most people in your country of origin dont even know you are world champion. Those that do know are divided into three categories 1.happy for you and are mostly fans 2.fans of other riders who wish their guy had won, and 3. those that dont care (probably the largest group of all. I say if no one else is willing to pat you on the back, then why not do it yourself? Just my opinion.
