What the hell is all this about?

I started a topic about how Rossi does what he does, and look at this!

Im with Ooost on this, 46 winner you have some fair points but Rossi rules? It looks like YOUR the one who needs to get a life!! Go find a Rossi forum!
<

We all like and respect Valentino, but there are other riders out there.

Rossi rules, you need to calm down and take stuff on board without having a fit and oh... you need to learn to spell too.

If we can't all stop arguing about Rossi I will start talking about James Ellison. I am not joking. PS If this bluff falls through all information on James Ellison would be very helpful, thanks.

Woo woo woo sweet child-o-mine!!

Whats with the bitchin guys & gals? Keep it on topic please and less of the slagging each other off
<

Ok just for you Ooost69 but let's not talk about him, just because i know nothing about him eccept he come's from Cumbria[Kendal] i think?,possible prospect on the right bike[but not a KTM]!
<
and he's 24,how's that hope that will kerb your urge to talk about him ?

I hate to change the topic mid forum, especially one so drastic as Valentino Rossi to James Ellison. But honestly, he's young and anyone who can ride a MotoGP bike is a great talent, instead of riding around on uncompetitive machinery he should go to 250s or WSB or BSB or AMA, it doesn't really matter. Just develop your skills on something that will display your progressing talent instead of being happy with only 3 seconds slower than the leaders per lap.

See, I'm not sure about that......dont you think it would be hard to the the GP circus for something else, then to learn that class then try and get a GP ride again?

I know what your saying..........tough one.

p.s. Dr Costa...........Going back up a few posts, I thought "knob" was spelt "nob" in the context you are using it, it was when I was at school anyway

You're absolutely right, it is difficult to leave the best series in the world for one of less prestige and then you have to hope that you get another ride in the show. But at his stage of development I don't think this is doing him any good. It's unfortunate.

Why is Rossi so good? Sorrry to bring this back on topic
<

I honestly think 1 of the main reasons is that he still this as fun, you very rarly see him flustered and upset at anything!
He also has amazing natural skill, I am really suprised that he is such a good development rider, cause any problems with the bike he seems to be able to ride around. And thats the rest of it isnt it, development and the team behind you and their commitment to the cause. I think this why Honda have gone off the boil, internal ...., they still have the best bike!

Doc, here here, well said

Rossi is an amazing racer and I got my first taste towards the end of 99 (last year in 250's) and have followed his career since then and I have just left a Rossi forum aswell due to the crap that they post. (see my thread in the intro pages)
Yeah I like Rossi, but there are still very talented riders out there that given a break would do very well. But unfortunatley you need $$$$ to get a good start into the top level of this game, and thats just cold hard truth behind it, unless you have bags and bags of talent, you are going to have to pay for your ride!

You are right supafly, you need bags and bags of talent or money to pay for a ride. However, in the case of MotoGP all these guys have bags and bags of talent so it is necessary to have bags and bags and bags of talent, or be sponsor friendly and have lots of their money behind you (Gibernau and Telefonica Movistar).

Spot on there Ooost69,that is the only reason i can think of why Honda have given Biaggi a ride because of the sponser's that he bring's, cos it certainly is'nt his tallent, something that rossi got right was that he spent to long in 250'sgp and looking at the standing it look's like my beloved Repsol Honda team are goin to end up potless again because of these sponser's and average rider's[still think nicky may have something left in the bag though!]But for next season the rumour is that Dani Pedrosa is being groomed for a Repsol ride and i think that will warm up 2006 season nicely !

Dude if Dani gets top 3 this year, he will go to HRC and he will bring telefonica money with him. Telefonica and Repsol have already said they would be co sponsors if it came to that. The only thing with Dani is his loyalty to Puig, they would split (meh so what!)

I agree Rossi is an outstanding talent and it will be a while till we see another like him..

Dani in the 250 class perhaps? been compared to Eddie lawson will be interesting to see the sport in 5 years time....

Bring back Jeremy McWilliams in his Zimmer
<

BTW Ben think about hiring some MODS
<

Supafly I posted an topic about Dani Pedrosa a couple days ago. There is an "agreement" between him and HRC for next year to be on a factory Honda. And you are absolutely right he has Telefonica money behind him, but he also has Repsol so who knows what colors he will be wearing.
