who's on their way out?

Personally, I think the influx of the new generation of riders is coming through. A new band of youngin's reared their pretty little head last year and continue to do so this year...
The likes of biaggi and gibernau have already been forced out of GP by the fresh blood... (okay, one because of his ego ...)

whilst some have managed to stay afloat.... just.
A new wave of rookies due to come in, in 2008 will mean a few less seats available for the ageing stars and underperforming one hit wonders.

So i pose the question, who's next in the firing line?

I know someone who is close in getting out but in order to not get shot I am not going to say the name.

Capirossi i think will leave after this year but through his own choice. I think checa might be able to do just enough to hold on, but Tamada has to go. OJ is clearly out classed and also will get no ride. KRJR will depend a lot on his bike getting sorted enough to show the world what he is cpable of, so i don't know about him yet. And Edwards refuses to give up so he might be around for lobger still. Barros also doesnt look that good this year, but he can often throw up a few random results good enough to keep his job, so who knows.

Thats a whole other discussion really. Do you think he will quit after the 2008 season or move bikes, or even just stay at Yamaha for longer.

i think tamada may have had his day now, i think checa but then he will all of a sudden be spectacular and change my mind like edwards. i think its to early in this new season with new bikes to be sure, ask me at the end of the season,

It's okay mate.... if we can keep the debate clean you won't be hung, drawn and quartered. people just tend to like winding everyone else up.

And 'll say it ... Rossi's on his way out.
Whether it through his own choice or if he goes out through force... i beleive he'll only be around for a few more years... It may take awhile for people to come to terms with that.... but he's not invincible, he can't keep going forever, and better he retire of his own means rather than a forceful one through lack of seats or injury.

1. i agree

2. Edwards is a rider who could easily find his way to a lower level team, but the question mark then would be if he would take it or not.

Edwards is too proud to accept an offer from a lower team, isn't he?

He belong is superbikes ... i wish he had realised that by now.

He has proved himself on superbikes, there is nothing else for him to do there. And i don't think a lower motogp team would be such a bad idea. With talk of Dorna putting pressure on Suzuki and Kawasaki to field more bikes there are going to be a fe rides going, so an experienced hand and the development skills of Edwards could be very handy.

What you've done or not done in WSBK or anywhere elase doesn't matter, this is GP's. Edwards is on a bike that can get on the podium but he's doing nothing with it, send him up the road I say, Tamada and Jaque with him.

rossi is going to stay long enough to beat all records of agostini and alike. thats his plan to leave on a high note with all the records broken by him. he will still be kicking ....

Edwards - Sick of hearing his ........ excuses for getting his ... kicked.

Tamada - Should go, especially if the rumour about Tech 3 running Michelin next year is true.

OJ - Hes as good as gone. Kawasaki know they ...... up hiring him.

Barros and Checa - Just grid fillers. D'antin should hire another young guy. I doubt they'd end up with a real quality rider from 250's, most of those guys will get factory rides. It'd be great if Ducati took on a really young talent, someone like Jonathan Rea. A similar move with Hopkins to Suzuki in 03. Hes seems really talented for such a young rider and short road race career.

Rossi - I definitely think the guy will want to go out on top i.e. World Champion. He's still an incredible rider and it would be interesting for someone who is still riding and winning to give it away. So many champions have either ended up injured or on .... rides for the remainder of their career. I cant see Rossi doing that.
