Riding up Friday. As of now, its just 3 of us and only 2 riding. We are, believe it or not, begging the 3rd guys wife to go. If she goes, she can drive his son up and he can ride. If she doesnt, he has to drive his son.

ah sorry my man. Romantic motogp getaway with my Old Lady. Three's a crowd!

btw. stopping in Memphis and loiusville on the way up. Anybody know of any good stops on the way back? Thinking of Cape Girardeau and Shreveport. But looking for suggestions.

I'm mostly a lurker and don't know anyone else here, but I'll be there.

Went last year and had a blast.

To those who enjoy, ahem, "modern dance," allow me to recommend Brad's Brass Flamingo.

As much as i hate to think about it, i may have to drive a freakin car to a bike race. Last weekend, after a 300 mile ride, i stopped below the house to pick up a bottle of water and when i went to start it, nothing. WTF. Checked the fuses, battery terminals etc, nothing. Ended up push starting it, rode it on home and it started wigging out right when i pulled in the driveway. Gauges were sweeping all over the place and it started to die. Pulled the battery, charged it and load tested it and it is fine, put it in the bike and it fired right up. Stator, or voltage regulator has to be the culprit. Since its almost 9 years old and has 75000 miles on it, i ordered both. I am hoping these damn parts are not on a slow boat from China.

While you're waiting, check the ground connection (battery to chassis.) These can rattle loose and/or corrode and cause all manner of flaky .....
