WTF? You could have argued (possibly convincingly) for Spies not being a rookie, but your predicted 2nd best rookie winning the rookie award is positively weird.

No ...... I don't think Japanese riders get things "handed to them on a silver platter" ......... ever ....... and by any stretch of the imagination.

So in reality, for any jap rider to get where Aoyama has been ....... its been difficult, I would argue way more difficult, than it has for all those others you cited. History has shown that .......... and sadly history may be right ...... but whatever the case the expectations for Jap riders are not currently huge, and that lack of huge expectation in itself is a great hurdle.

Cos he certainly has to me!! and done so admirably. Which again is something that has endeared me to him ..... as you should well imagine ..... by questioning his style ..... and then seeing him change it ...... just as I reckoned he needed to do ...... nobody would be more happier than me with that!!

I expect to be wrong, but good health, no injuries and Ducati not making any development stuff-ups.
Generally, though , it is very hard to go past the Yamahas the way they are going right now.
Another bad season for Honda and they are going to offer Stoner/ Lorenzo literally the earth.
(And they just might sign both of them too, they are that desperate!)

And yeah, that spying bloke for rookie of the year.............

No joy for edwards, but Yamaha wins everything else.

When ever you go from one bike to another you adjust. That's a given. Nice to see you you've come around and seen the obvious

Thing is BM, you didn't question his style, nothing like it. You deemed him useless because of his style. That's WAY beyond questioning. You did so in a usual never ending tread where you never really argued your stand just repeated your own wild theory. We are getting used to them now.

I don't doubt it that those wild card appearances in MotoGP have helped him somewhat in terms of the learning curve. I thought Simoncelli initially for ROY, but either he is not fit for GP bikes or Honda blows that much given the impressions I get from his testing times.
