Who will finish where

Looking at the points, Spies has a VERY realistic chance of a top 3 finish in the World Championship. He is only 4 points out of 5th, 9 points out of 4th, and 16 points out of 3rd. Not saying he will finish there, but with his run of late, its conceivable. Realistically, i think 5th is where he will finish, with Dovi falling out of the top 5 to 6th.

depends on his engines wasn't Indy his third race with improved performance ?

Full factory spec motor

if it was then maybe now he goes back to tech .... spec motor so no third place

i say full factory spec bcs well respected ppl have suggested this and he had to have the motor for 3 races to tie in with

6 engines 18 races

According to Spies and Edwards, the only upgrades they have got was before Laguna, and it was a minor HP improvement. Still running the same chassis and electronics as the start of the season. Now that could be ........, and they are hiding something from Dorna and Rossi, but until proven otherwise, i will go with what the team and riders are reporting.

I think Rossi will finish 3rd (unless Pedrosa folds), Dovi and Stoner will drop out of the top 5 (but not by many points), and Hayden and Spies fill in those spots.

if the engine penalty of a pit start happens to these guys, it could shake things up. How many fresh engines does Rossi have left??

spies for 5th..... sounds about right...

I don't know what his count is at, but since he missed those races, shouldn't engines be a non-issue for him?

I think Spies only has 1 new engine left and 5 used. Dani has 2 new and 4 used lorenzo has 1 new and 4 used left. Correct me if im wrong but thats what i think they said last sunday at indy.

Not if he keeps tossing the bike down the road 3 times a weekend

Given Lorenzo's "commanding lead" in the points - the championship could well be decided

before the last two rounds - making the number of engines a moot point.

BTW - I read the other day - that during testing the factories are allowed to use engines

not from the allotted 6.

Of course, if that wasn't the case nobody would be involved in the test. Good point regarding Lorenzo.
