Ive been watching 500cc/motogp since 2000 and phillip island 2015 is the best race ive ever seen. But donnington 2005 in the race is one of my favourite too!
Those were innocent times. I always liked Ralph. About as pure and genuine as they come in terms of shear enthusiasm and determination.

Phillip Island 2009 is an underrated gem of a race.
You had a battle between Rossi and Stoner from start to finish. Stoner was riding on that awesome white-liveried Desmosedici which was a great change from their traditional livery. It was 27 laps of clean racing without any of the ........ of Laguna 2008. Stoner never wavered under pressure.

Stoner played with Rossi and made it seem like a good race. Kept Rossi at a maddening distance the entire race, enough where Rossi thought he had hope, but never close enough to even make a desperation move. He would let Rossi get within 2-3/10ths then pop it back to a half second. Since Rossi has supernatural powers of perception at PI, im sure he sensed what Stoner was doing to him.
