This might sound like a stupid question, but if you really think about it, the only time his name gets brought up up is when he wins or gets a podium, as if it was unexpected and not supposed to happen.
I just finished listening to The Race MotoGP podcast following the Silverstone GP and they didn't even mention him for 1 second. He went from 10th to 3rd (should have been 2nd) and his name wasn't even mentioned! The BT Sport/TNT broadcast hardly mentioned him and when they did, the word "luck" was used, which made me LOL in disbelief.
And this is just the last GP, it's always like this.
To this day, there are people who insists that Miguel Oliveira is better than him and were all salty when KTM let him go. MO has NEVER beaten BB over the course of a season!! In the current season, Jack Miller is currently 41 points behind BB (after Silverstone)!

I think he is easily a top 5 rider and I just hope KTM continues to improve so he can show it even more.

Brad is a great rider and also a very consistent one who barely makes mistakes. Perhaps his personality and his riding style come across as sort of unspectacular which could be why he is somewhat underrated.

The Austro-German telecast frequently acknowledges him which doesn't come as a surprise as Servus TV is owned by Red Bull.

If BB33 was on a ducati rocketship he'd be leading points. I think he is the best rider on the grid not named Marc.
Absolutely, which is why I got so excited at the thought of Marc and Brad at Red Bull KTM.

Lets not forget, he won his 3rd GP race. Only other riders to do that so soon into their rookie season are all considered Aliens in the modern era (Marquez, Pedrosa, Lorenzo etc)

That would be my dream team. I think they would be a good fit together. It doesn't look like it will happen but I really hope Marc doesn't stay at Honda. I'd rather see him retire. I can't see him spending another year there. He looks miserable and understandably so.

Highest rider in the championship who isn't on a Ducati.

Binder has benefited greatly from Millers input into the bikes setup. As Binder gets more experienced with setup and development he will be in a position to challenge for the championship.

Hi riding style is most definitely not unspectacular. In fact, I would say it's quite the opposite.
However, I think you do have a point about his personality. He is laid back/quiet and people always gravitate toward the more outspoken or charismatic personalities.

Yes, but by the time KTM provide a world beater, Acosta will be up to speed and take profit.

Binder's anonymity is just a symptom of the human condition. Brad's personality is hard work, dependability and durability. Those guys never get noticed unless one of the scriptwriters at Dorna or a major TV network need to create a hero.

In a world where many riders bestow flattering nicknames upon themselves and they squelch into microphones all day, Binder is basically always going to be an extra. He might prefer it that way. Difficult to work when media people are harassing you all day.

The best not named Marc or Pecco !

Personally I think Pecco has it all together now, if he does not get injured I expect him to repeat this year.

I'm not ready to say that about Pecco yet. We haven't seen what he can do with a teammate that can pressure him yet. I am gutted for the beast getting injured early this season ruining his entire season. I think Fabbio is a better rider than Pecco. I believe Fabs would mop the floor with him on a ducati. I rate Marc, Fabbio, And Binder higher than Peccohead.

TBD on Pecco. He's had a dominant bike with very few allowed to challenge him. When he wins a championship on a bike that is not as dominant I will maybe class him the same as Marc.

Look at the mid 2010's, you have Marc, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Rossi, occasionally Dovi and Iannone all fighting hard on similar bikes. As Mdub noted. Put riders like Marc, Fabio, Binder and a healthy Bastiannini together and see where he stands.
