I've always thought SuperMoto was a sport for those who couldn't hack it as a full out roadracer or dirtracer.

It was design as a purpose to see who was the best of both disciplines. Actually the AMA started SuperMoto, so the AMA as done one thing good in it's history.

. Its just the opposite, you need to be extremely good at both styles to make it as a supermoto racer

Thats why so many road racers train and perfect their bike control skills on
supermoto's
