Was he really that good? i never used to watch the 250's.

He had enormous potential as well as all the backing in the world from Honda.
When he entered his first GP as a wildcard at Suzuka in 96 I think he came third in that race...
When Daijiro moved up to the MotoGp, first riding the 500 NSR Honda, then, from the Czech Republic GP to the end of the season, riding the RC 211V. In the end he finished seventh, and was Rookie of the Year.
He was comfertable racing at any track. he just had bags of naturel ability..
Cannot really comment on whether he would have beaten Vale on a regular basis but it sure would have been great to see him this season for sure

Stoke near city centre,bud.I just think he had the potential that would have worked well on the 2007 bikes,mainly corner speed and courage to go for it and learn any new riding style very quickly.As for him beating Vale regularly,I just wish he was hear to show us.
