Videopass streaming gets worse by the race. Not useable on full screen, it even stutters badly when in the default mini window at the top,

Lest comms / power at my end might be blamed, I have an i9-9900k CPU (clocked to 5 Ghz), Samsung EVO 970 SSD, 32Gb memory, on gigabit cable,

It's worse watching like this than waiting until later when at least there will be a decent stream.

Come on, MotoGP. We want a Ducati, not a moped.

I watch it on several different devices and TVs, I have an Apple TV with the MotoGP app and it works great, also have a Samsung TV with the app and it works fine. Now at my office I am using a PS5 with the MAX app and it does get blurry pauses quite often, but I think that has more to do with the app not working well with the PS5 because I have that issue with everything else I watch on MAX with that device.

It was OK for me. The images of the racing didn't seem that clear to me, but the graphics at the side showing the race order were crisp and clear. I didn't have buffering problems.

What is your actual upload and download speed though?
Oh dear. I just buy the videopass, and then I see this thread. Hopefully it will work well for me.
I've never had any issues with it on my phone, laptop or smart TV. Enjoy!

32.7 megabits/s download, and 19.4 megabits/s upload. However, I think it's typically faster than that.

My reading of the OP in this thread were that the problems may be with motogp.com's servers. In which case my local upload/download wouldn't be the bottleneck. But, it all seems to work fine for me.

I've only just bought the videopass after major fail trying to follow the season by other methods. (Though, buying it just before the summer break gives me time to catch up on things). So, I'll see if motogp.com's servers are flaky. If I notice any problems, I'll do a speed test to check my local connection.

My only problem quality wise is with the commentary team.

I have never had any problems with the feed, have watched successfully on my phone hundreds of kms from Sydney etc.

My biggest problem with VideoPass is the price, next year I will probably just do the half season and catch up on the earlier races afterwards.

A subscription to Moto GP is not just watching the races, coming into GP racing now is seeing the end of what has been a very long story.

You can see that story by going back through the years to see what a GP race was two years, or 10 years ago, not just the races, but the practice of all the classes. It is such a great resource to following a riders path to where there are now.

Being a tight arsed Brit means I watch thro a skank box. IPTV sub is only £80 a year and watch any sports and movies. It stutters on occasions but on the whole it has been great for 11 years. Even worked when I took it to Aus so they must be available in other regions?

I think I pay much less than if I signed up now, but as Havey says it is 2 slabs of Coopers or a not incredibly swish dinner for two, great value imo for all you get, videos of races going back for years, watch the races if you are out of town etc. I a have even listened in the car if I have to drive at that time.

I'm not too familiar with IPTV. It seems that it might be an option next year, but I need to learn to tell the difference between legal and illegal ones.

It’s a dodgy box that receives full Sky package including PPV on the big fights etc.
IPTV = internet provided tv so you can also access latest movies ( just watched The Bikeriders last night but it was disappointing) and box series. The difference from legal to dodgy is you won’t have a perfect feed all the time with a dodgy box but it just depends who you go to as some are a lot better than others but it’s way cheaper. Ask around and find a guy who’s in it for the long haul and gives a good service as there are a lot of guys around for 6 months and then disappear and your tv goes with them.😬
My guy has been golden for 10ish years.

If it's dodgy, then I know what it is. So, perhaps don't ask don't tell in terms of any more details :D

I had a look around and found one moderately professional-looking site, but noticed that the telephone number is in Morocco.

Eventually, I found a list of a few example legal IPTV providers, and it's the age-old problem of no one provider providing everything I want. At least I have the motogp.com subscription, which is a lot less than a legal IPTV for everything would likely be.

Word of mouth is the way to go not Moroccan phone numbers. You’re not looking for an outwardly professional site but just a good guy who gives a sheeite but runs under the radar. It’s not rocket science.😉
